MICHELIN PRIMACY LC

Michelin’s Primacy LC is specially engineered for silence, fuel efficiency, safety and longevity. It provides the quietest of rides and refinement thanks to the ‘Silent Rib’ technology which minimise vibrations on the road that cause unwanted noise. And, low rolling resistance means reduced CO2 emissions and long wear-life. The silica tread compound, Green X label and optimised construction also guarantee better fuel economy (through a 13 percent reduction in rolling resistance). Michelin’s Primacy LC is the wise, and efficient, choice for your car.

Key Features

  • "Silent Rib" technology reduces any vibrations that cause noise
  • Michelin Green X label on the sidewall guarantees a level of energy efficiency

Key Benefits

  • Reduces tread pattern noise for a quieter, more comfortable ride
  • Lower rolling resistance for fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions for a healthier environment without compromising on tyre longevity or safety

Excellent - worth the money on Mazda 6
Purchased 4 Michelin Primacy LCs (205/55R16) in 2010 for a Mazda 6 wagon. Three and a bit years on they are still terrific and I have not noticed significant loss of grip, but my latest car service indicated they need replacement over the next couple of months. I ve done 50,000 in this time (mostly freeway and city driving), and I d say it s only been for the last 5000 that I have had any inclination that the tyres are starting to wear. They ve been exceptionally quiet (the quietest tyre I ve ever used), I LOVED the driving feel especially when they were new - it was such a good road feel and great when cornering, driving in dry or wet/icy conditions. Vibration has been non-existent over the last three years. For comparison - I d say I m a pretty average cautiously assertive female driver and usually travel with kids. My only disappointment is that I didn t keep any fuel records so I can t comment as to whether they saved me; without any data my gut feel is that they have been good in terms of fuel efficiency.

Dangerous tyres in wet conditions.
I replaced two of my Michelin Energy VX8 tyres in front with Michelin Primacy LC on Honda Accord VTI. Since then on two occassions my car spun 360 degree on a wet road whilst taking right turn. This happened due to Aquaplaning , these tyres are non resistant to aquaplaning where the tyre loses contact with road in wet conditions. On both occassions I was lucky to escapte unhurt . This happened within less than 4 months since I changed the tyres. The tyres would have run for under 5 K now and I am going to replace them with tyres that have better grip on wet conditions. Considering the switch to Continental Premium contact 2 .

Quiet & comfy as!
Just put two primacy 215/55/17 on the front of the Maxima to replace the Dunlop sport sp 270 ( these were very noisy and scrubed out in approx 26k. Not impressed Dunlop! So far these Michelins are awesome! They make the car so much nicer to drive; quiter, smoother less road bump through the steering etc. I am actually looking forward to having to fork out another $460 to Jax Tyres when the rear ones need replacing. These would have to be the best Tyres I have ever had, even better than the Toyo proxes that were great on the 380 . Do yourself a favour and seriously consider them.

Michelin Primacy
My Honda Euro came with the Michelin Primacy tyres fitted, three(3) years later and some 95,000km‰Ûªs travelled the tyres are only now coming up for replacement. They have been absolutely outstanding from the start, would highly recommend them to anyone for both durability and comfort. After reading through this forum regarding equivalent products from other tyre brands I will be putting another set of Michelins on the car.

Excellent
Fitted to a 2008 Toyota Camry. These tyres are awesome. I rave about them to everyone. I have covered about 7 to 10,000k s on them and love them. These things are almost silent. They grip like [censored word removed] to a blanket too, in both wet and dry. I paid around $850 fitted and balanced including a front end alignment. As mentioned above, I did feel the need to put some extra pressure in them due to having the tyres roll around a bit under very hard cornering. Driving normally the standard pressure will be more than fine. Average Fuel consumption has dropped from 9.05L per 100km to 8.52L per 100km - this could be partly due to the extra pressures. I recommend these tyres whleheartedly.

Just got two front tyres replaced with Michelin Primacy LC in my local Bob Jane today, I can t tell you how satisfy am I with this tyre, it s just incredible ! I am driving a two years old VW Golf 1.9TDI, now it s just a brand new experience for me, even better than the first day I got the car from dealer. This tyre is super quite and almost feel no vibration on the road, and smooth control when making the turn. I can t image how good it will be after I replace the rear tyres.

very quiet, nice ride, good grip
Fitted 4 of these to my TW Magna about a month ago. Much quieter than the old Bridgestone RE92s, and have a better ride, although it would be surprising if they last as well. About 5% fuel economy improvement on the early figures.

Has all the features that define a tyre
I bought three Michelin Primacy LC tyres on a whim (although I intend to buy a fourth tyre in due course), and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. They perfectly fulfill the basic requirements of tyrehood, but offer so much more. Of all the tyres I own (around 302) these are amongst the very best; the treads are particularly pleasing from an aesthetic point of view, and very satisfying to touch, the workmanship is immediately evident. They are just the right weight to stack on top of each other in my sitting room without the risk of them falling over, as has happened in the past with other brands of tyre. Exactly what you need to liven up your house, use as make-shift furniture etc. Sadly, I cannot review the driving qualities of the tyres as I do not own a car, and even if I did I would not use these tyres for fear of spoiling their beautiful threads.

These are fabulous!
Fitted 4 on C220 CDi Mercedes Benz. Noticeably quieter, outstanding handling in all aspects okn both wet and dry roads as well as city, country and freeway driving. Time will tell on the wear aspect, but I have used Michelin over 50 years and have never had room for complaint as regards wear. Eary stages of keeping accurate fuel usage details indicate an improvement of 4% to 5% fuel savings. Looks like the best of the best at this stage!

I purchased a set of 4 Michelin Primacy Lc a few weeks back, and I have to say they are the quietest tyres I have ever purchased. I was told that the silence is from the silent rib technology, which minimises vibrations that causes noise. The tyre shop also informed me that the Primacy Lc tyre will save me on petrol, because of a low rolling resistance. I have yet to see a difference in savings or extra km s, maybe it s too soon? I have also noticed that they grip well in wet weather.

It s a good tyre and quieter than my previous Michelin Primacy HPs. Dynamics are good. The HPs lasted 50000 kms and I m hoping these do the same.

Time will tell.
Have just bought 4 new Primacy LC tyres to replace the fabulous Michelin MXV8 s that lasted well over 70,000 klms. Before buying them, Neil the Michelin Qld rep said the Primacy tyres (if well cared for) will last up to 60,000 klms and I ll also see a reduced fuel bill.I hope he s right as I ve just spent $1000 and the parting comment from the Bob Jane dealer was They should be good for 30,000 Klms!!!! Time will tell. 27/9/2011
