Quality product,Top Value
Excellent ride and steering feel, very good traction wet or dry, quiet on all but coarse road surface. Excellent performance at freeway speeds, V rated tyre, perfect wheel balance, no vibration. Too early to comment on tyre wear. Very safe, confidence inspiring tyre, would compare to Toyo s, Michelin s & Pirelli s as good to drive on.

Good value tyres....but
Fitted these tyres after getting 102000 kms on a set of Toyo tyres. First impressions are good with ride and tyre noise on a par with the Toyos. The only issue at this stage seems to be the fuel economy on these tyres which has gone from an average of 9.5 L/100 kms to 10.5 L/100 kms. As I only paid $390 for a set of 4 tyres as opposed to $940 for the Toyos I am willing to live with a small increase in fuel economy but I am still a little perplexed with this variation.

Maxxis MA-511 205/55/16 94 W are noisy and understeer
Cheap enough at $100 per corner from Tyrepower. Reinforced 94 W load rating rather than standard 91 V. Noticeably more noisy than their predecessors, a set of Maxxis MA-P1, which are a brilliant tyre. MA-511 will cause impact/knocking sound when entering driveways, over speed bumps etc etc, even at gentle speeds. This noise totally disappears when tyres are replaced. It can only be caused by MA-511. MA-511 also understeer painfully if fitted on front end. Also the Maxxis Australia importer is unwilling to bring in new, improved replacement model, the MA-P3. Apparently overstocked on MA-511 s and will stubbornly wait until these nasty donuts are depleted. What a shame we are prevented from sourcing Maxxis MA-P3 tyres, yet New Zealanders can readily do so. Just replaced tyres and ditched Maxxis for Toyo.

Good Tyre priced well.
For a budget tyre they Maxxis Victra 511 perfomed well in the wet and dry. Road sound was minimal and ride quality was smooth. I have driven numerous budget tyres and this one is the best so far. I have purchased this tyre numerous times and the quality is consistent. Size tyre 235/45R17

Superb ride and handling
I have a Toyota Aurion Prodigy. I ve tried Michelin xm2 and Pirelli p1 both of which returned reasonable mileage (around 55000km ) but I was after more comfort. Peter at Timelord in Thorneside near Brisbane suggested that I try the Maxxis 511 Victra. He suggested that because of their construction and wear rating they should be exactly what I needed. He was 100% correct. I ve only travelled about 7000km so far but I don t care too much how many kms I get out of them because the ride and handling is so good. My car has travelled 240,000km ( I did 85,000 last year) and I keep it in perfect running order. These tyres make it feel like a new car. Went to Gladstone for dinner last Saturday, 1080km round trip and had rain or showers for the whole trip. The car felt very very safe and because of the superb ride it wasn t too tiring. Thanks Peter for the good advice. Thanks Maxxis for the great tyres.

Get for what you pay for.
The Victra MA-511is really a cheap passenger tyre. It does the job well enough, as per Jax Tyres description :Superior water dispersion and wet traction Outstanding response and handling stability Excellent ride comfort Low noise levels when driving Wear is the factor. Cheap tyre, sacrifice grip performance for longevity. I estimate only getting out of this set around 50k kms if pushed, probably by the 4th rotation they will be on their limit. On my Subaru Forester after 10k kms, the front have worn the worst and lost half the depth to the rears. Now been rotated, I expect the next rotation will be more than half life of the tyre. Urban town driving only. You get what you pay for (advertised now starting at $99, I payed $120 ea for my tyre size fitted) Want a better wearing tyre with all the safety factors, buy the more expensive brands.

The only brand I use on my car!
These tyres are the only ones I will invest in. Well worth the money & super cheap in comparison to the big name brands. The tread is perfect for the use of my car & the durability is phenomenal for the price! My mechanic introduced me to the brand a few years ago and I haven t looked back since!

Cheap tyres but great quality
My tyres had puncture on the road and surprised enough to hear that those pair of tyres need a replacement. I didn t do to too much of research before getting this tyre as I didn t have many options available for me. I just went for the cheapest available. But it is good value for money. The steering movement is not as stiff as before and the cornering seems to be a lot better than the last time. It is a bit noisy though when I ride on the high way but it doesn t bother me.

245/40/18 - great value for money tyre
I bought a set of these tyres from Jax a year ago to replace some horrible Chinese tyres that were fitted to the Falcon that I had just purchased. Having used Maxxis tyres on previous cars I was expecting good value for money. After a year and 7,000 km on these tyres I can report great grip, low noise and even wear. Hope to get several years of service from these tyres as I average less than 10,000 km a year.
