We are on to our second set of Yokohama BluEarth AE01. We don t buy new cars or change cars every couple of years hence we have bought plenty of tires over time. Goodyear, Dunlop, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin and Yokohama. Would have loved to stay with Pirelli, felt most grippy when we had them. Dunlop was the worst of the lot. We now run Michelin (came with the car) and Yokohama BluEarth we bought. While it doesn t have as good a grip as we had with Pirelli P6, the Pirellis were pretty soft so they won t last long. Yokohama has great brake feel and nice grip. They are also quiet and lasts. Last set almost lasted 6 years. Naturally, we went back to buy another set. Hopefully, things hasn t changed that much in terms of quality. We had the new set for two years now. Still very happy. :)

I've just replaced the original 195 Bridgestones on my new Pulsar Hatch with 205 AE01s and these are significantly better all round.Steering and handling are noticeably improved, they are quieter and more comfortable. Those suspension jiggles over our rough North Coast roads are much reduced.My fuel consumption has declined from 6.2 to 6.0L/100klms.Have no idea about the wear factor but that is far less important to me than the above.One happy driver here.

I've been running generic cheap tyres on my wifes car for a while. My local Bob Jane recommended changing from a 195 to a 205 as you can get a much better tyre for the money. We ended up getting 2 Blue Earths fitted up. We have done about 1,000km so far. Her fuel economy avg has dropped from 7.2l/100 to 6.9L/100 (I didn't tell her they were supposed to have less rolling resistance and save fuel) which is almost as good as claimed. The tyres are a lot quieter than the nexan that we had. The 205 actually look skinnier than the 195. The wife says they feel more comfortable.

One does not buy tyres often. These replaced the Yokohama A Drives which I previously had on my Toyota Avalon. I was really happy with the A Drives so I was disappointed when they were no longer available. Bob Jane said the Blue Earth has a slightly softer compound so that would not last as long but would grip better. I cannot confirm this from my experience. I find the Yokohama Blue Earth to be great value for money, excellent road holding, great tyres in the wet and long lasting. I do not plan to deviate from Yokohama in the future.

I rack up about 30,000 km each year, and usually go through a set of tyres every 2 years or so. I bought 4 Yokohoma Blue Earth tyres about 2 years ago, and there has been no appreciable wear. I figure I will get at least another 3 years out of them at this rate. The ride is not hard and the road grip is superb. In my opinion, these are the best tyres I have ever had on any car I have ever owned and I have been driving now for just over 50 years. And for the record, I have used most brands that are on the market along that 50 year journey. I rate these Yokohama tyres as top of the class in respect of performance and they are really quite reasonably priced,

The performance with these tyres on my current Mitsubishi Lancer is OK. Good point about these tyres are that they are environmentally friendly in comparison to other tyres.

Purchased AE01 205/55/16R to replace a Yokohama CDrive2, which is no longer sold. Intended to buy AE050 (apparently the replacement of C Drive 2) and partner purchased the cheaper AE01 by mistake. Have driven 5000km so far. Good grip, but does seem slightly noisier than C-drive 02 in highway conditions. Will probably buy AE050 next time, as it is supposed to have superior grip and be quieter. I like that this range is supposed to be more environmentally-friendly than previous Yokohama tyres.

Bought 3 for 4 offer through Bob Jane.Size:175/70/13Pros:- Fantastic grip in wet and dry conditions- Feedback of car improved dramatically, it's much more secure on the road- Smooth ride- One of the quieter tyres on the market- Slight improvement in fuel consumptionCons:- Longevity; tread is not very deep to begin with when new and due to the soft compound, it's just not going to last as long as you want (I'm hoping 30k, currently at 10k)- Can make a slight "squeal" sound when cornering (this is a trend in the eco tyre range)Final Verdict:I would give this tyre a 4.5 due to the longevity issue but I am much more concerned with grip so 5 it is. I have pumped these tyres to 40psi per tyre to try and improve its life and there has been no loss in grip in either conditions (51psi max stated per tyre). Much better than the Goodyear GT3's and Maxxis MA-P1's. These are only fractionally worse than the discontinued Pirelli P5's because of life span.

These tyres were recommended as being quiet. I only kept them on the vehicle for about 900 klm as they were noisy on most types of bitumen when fitted to our Kia Cerato MY17. Fortunately they were refunded under the customer satisfaction warranty by Yokohama and I was able to fit Michelin ST3 tyres which are a huge improvement.Obviously certain tyres suit some cars and not others.

Bought the tyres November 2014. All four tyres replaced at the same time. Have done 33K km, and as at the last Warrant of Fitness inspection, the front tyres are down to 4.5mm and rear tyres at 6 mm, though must admit I forgot to get the tyres rotated during the last service. The first 2-3K km the tyres didn't seem any quieter, but once bedded in, the tyres settled and on fairly smooth road surfaces, tyre noise is very minimal. Because Auckland has a mix of smooth and coarse pavements, can't really say for sure how much quieter these tyres are. Grip is good and reassuring in the wet. Since being fitted, the shop has had the tyre pressures quite high - 37psi, which is higher than the usual 32-34psi, but speaking with friends and some mechanics, they also have their tyres at higher pressure, so just left it at that. I think it helps reduce tyre wear, and at 33K km now, well it seems to be working. Perhaps if I deflated it to 34psi it would ride a bit quieter.

Size:175/70/13 Pros:- Fantastic grip in wet and dry conditions - Feedback of car improved dramatically, it s much more secure on the road - Smooth ride - One of the quieter tyres on the market - Slight improvement in fuel consumption Cons:- Longevity; tread is not very deep to begin with when new and due to the soft compound, it s just not going to last as long as you want (I m hoping 30k, currently at 10k) - Can make a slight squeal sound when cornering (this is a trend in the eco tyre range) Final Verdict:I would give this tyre a 4.5 due to the longevity issue but I am much more concerned with grip so 5 it is. I have pumped these tyres to 40psi per tyre to try and improve its life and there has been no loss in grip in either conditions (51psi max stated per tyre). Much better than the Goodyear GT3 s and Maxxis MA-P1 s. These are only fractionally worse than the discontinued Pirelli P5 s because of life span.

These tires replaced the second set of Bridgestone Turanza's on our 2012 Japanese built Honda Jazz. This model has quite firm suspension and the tyre size does not allow for a lot of options, 16" 185 55. They have improved the ride quality and reduced the road noise that was evident before, so big plus there. I can run these tires at 34psi and get a good smooth ride, had to drop the Bridgestones to 28 psi to get a bearable ride. Bought on a buy 3 get 4 deal, makes the decision easy. Not a particularly high-tech looking tyre, not directional, but I consider this a plus on an "A to B" appliance car, so far I am happy, only have a few thousand up though.Update june 17, have approx. 17k on these tires, wearing quite well, they probably won't deliver a high mileage but still gives a nice quieter smoother ride than the Bridgestone tires on this car, so would recommend these.

Just had the front Yokohama BluEarth EA01's replaced & am happy to say that they lasted 45,000kms on a front wheel drive vehicle without a single tyre rotation or balance - tyres wore evenly.I would predict if rotated and balanced every 10,000kms I'd have gotten at least 60,000kms out of them.Over the 45,000kms I've spent with my first set of tyres the fuel consumption on my vehicle has gone from 7.6L/100km using Bridgestone Ecopia Ep25's down to an amazing 6.8L/100km on the Yokohama BlueEarth EA01s.The grip of the tyres didn't fall as they wore out, I can travel at highway speeds without slowing down - I've never aqua-planed once, even in torrential rain at 110km/h on the M1.Considering I only paid $129 per tyre, plus the fact these tyres scored #1 in their category beating Continental, Pirelli, BF GoodRich, Toyo, Bridgestone, Michelin & Kumho for dry/wet braking, dry/wet cornering, fuel efficiency & tread wear is amazing considering most of the competition are well into the $200 per tyre territory.As I not only saved hundreds of dollars in initial purchasing costs as well as running costs with 800ml/100km being saved then this adds up to impressive fuel savings.I recommend these orange-oil based tyres to everyone looking for the best low-rolling resistance tyres at a price that beats every other manufacturer.

Love at the first 1 km drive out of the shop. Had Hankook(lasted over 2 years, with high kay driving annually) which did a reasonable job, but next to the Yokohama Bluearth, its chalk and cheese. The Bluearth impressed straight away with the compliant and quietness in the ride quality. The Lancer was never a quite car or sporty but on the new tyres got at Bob Jane Tmart (Belconnen ACT) on special is a revelation. 3 days in and mix drive of urban (50-70) and semi highway(90) have proven the extra dollar spent was worth it. Cornering is much more confident inspiring without mid corner kick. Somehow strengthen and compliment the braking whereby prior it feel the brakes was struggling. Haven't experience wet condition yet so that would make or break the love affair. Didn't realised the Bluearth is an "eco, low resistance tyres", had bad experience with Michelin eco type before where it was a joke in the wet(nearly reared a car cos it skid instead of stopping) and promise never again... So for the pure magic of transform the ride and handling especially smooth the ride and reduce noise and vibration on a high kay car is a real surprise. So far i'm happy with it. 5/5 (Just need to experience in wet and see if its durable).

The tyres we have fitted are 215/60/16 99H on a BF Ford Falcon Futura Station wagon and already have covered around 5000kms on them.Living in a rural area where we travel on both sealed & unsealed roads in all weather conditions, I have found these tyres tick all the boxes and then some.When first fitted the difference in ride comfort and the quietness of the tyres was very apparent, especially so when travelling at highway speed which is very much appreciated when travelling hours on end, and is especially welcome driving on unsealed roads.It was a great relief compared to the Kumhos that were fitted to the car when we bought it.The feeling of the tyres are sure footed, steering response is direct and predictable in all conditions.Unexpected appearances of wildlife crossing the road has assured me that braking at highway speeds is sound on all types of road surfaces and weather conditions.Wet weather performance too is more than you would expect for a tyre in this category and does the job securely with little or no fuss.Wear rates at this stage of the game are looking favourable, and I'm more than pleased that the tyre is a little more robust with a load rating of 99.Initially I was sceptical at the claims of better fuel consumption figures, but it's there! It's another added benefit that can't be sneezed at.In summing up, in quality terms you would be hard pressed to get better bang for your buck.Not only do they exceed expectations in all the day to day running tasks they are also a superb touring tyre.

We are on to our second set of Yokohama BluEarth AE01. We don t buy new cars or change cars every couple of years hence we have bought plenty of tires over time. Goodyear, Dunlop, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin and Yokohama. Would have loved to stay with Pirelli, felt most grippy when we had them. Dunlop was the worst of the lot. We now run Michelin (came with the car) and Yokohama BluEarth we bought. While it doesn t have as good a grip as we had with Pirelli P6, the Pirellis were pretty soft so they won t last long. Yokohama has great brake feel and nice grip. They are also quiet and lasts. Last set almost lasted 6 years. Naturally, we went back to buy another set. Hopefully, things hasn t changed that much in terms of quality. We had the new set for two years now. Still very happy. :)

I've just replaced the original 195 Bridgestones on my new Pulsar Hatch with 205 AE01s and these are significantly better all round.Steering and handling are noticeably improved, they are quieter and more comfortable. Those suspension jiggles over our rough North Coast roads are much reduced.My fuel consumption has declined from 6.2 to 6.0L/100klms.Have no idea about the wear factor but that is far less important to me than the above.One happy driver here.

I've been running generic cheap tyres on my wifes car for a while. My local Bob Jane recommended changing from a 195 to a 205 as you can get a much better tyre for the money. We ended up getting 2 Blue Earths fitted up. We have done about 1,000km so far. Her fuel economy avg has dropped from 7.2l/100 to 6.9L/100 (I didn't tell her they were supposed to have less rolling resistance and save fuel) which is almost as good as claimed. The tyres are a lot quieter than the nexan that we had. The 205 actually look skinnier than the 195. The wife says they feel more comfortable.

One does not buy tyres often. These replaced the Yokohama A Drives which I previously had on my Toyota Avalon. I was really happy with the A Drives so I was disappointed when they were no longer available. Bob Jane said the Blue Earth has a slightly softer compound so that would not last as long but would grip better. I cannot confirm this from my experience. I find the Yokohama Blue Earth to be great value for money, excellent road holding, great tyres in the wet and long lasting. I do not plan to deviate from Yokohama in the future.

Back tyres are over a year old and front are new. The tyres are slightly bigger in diameter and we have noticed that the speedo is reading correctly and economy has improved out of sight. So far they have been durable and the noise in the car has reduced. The price was excellent so we think that they are worth getting again.

I rack up about 30,000 km each year, and usually go through a set of tyres every 2 years or so. I bought 4 Yokohoma Blue Earth tyres about 2 years ago, and there has been no appreciable wear. I figure I will get at least another 3 years out of them at this rate. The ride is not hard and the road grip is superb. In my opinion, these are the best tyres I have ever had on any car I have ever owned and I have been driving now for just over 50 years. And for the record, I have used most brands that are on the market along that 50 year journey. I rate these Yokohama tyres as top of the class in respect of performance and they are really quite reasonably priced,

Have driven 5000km so far. Good grip, but does seem slightly noisier than C-drive 02 in highway conditions. Will probably buy AE050 next time, as it is supposed to have superior grip and be quieter. I like that this range is supposed to be more environmentally-friendly than previous Yokohama tyres.

I have pumped these tyres to 40psi per tyre to try and improve its life and there has been no loss in grip in either conditions (51psi max stated per tyre). Much better than the Goodyear GT3's and Maxxis MA-P1's. These are only fractionally worse than the discontinued Pirelli P5's because of life span.

Have done 33K km, and as at the last Warrant of Fitness inspection, the front tyres are down to 4.5mm and rear tyres at 6 mm, though must admit I forgot to get the tyres rotated during the last service. The first 2-3K km the tyres didn't seem any quieter, but once bedded in, the tyres settled and on fairly smooth road surfaces, tyre noise is very minimal. Because Auckland has a mix of smooth and coarse pavements, can't really say for sure how much quieter these tyres are. Grip is good and reassuring in the wet. Since being fitted, the shop has had the tyre pressures quite high - 37psi, which is higher than the usual 32-34psi, but speaking with friends and some mechanics, they also have their tyres at higher pressure, so just left it at that. I think it helps reduce tyre wear, and at 33K km now, well it seems to be working. Perhaps if I deflated it to 34psi it would ride a bit quieter.

This model has quite firm suspension and the tyre size does not allow for a lot of options, 16" 185 55. They have improved the ride quality and reduced the road noise that was evident before, so big plus there. I can run these tires at 34psi and get a good smooth ride, had to drop the Bridgestones to 28 psi to get a bearable ride. Bought on a buy 3 get 4 deal, makes the decision easy. Not a particularly high-tech looking tyre, not directional, but I consider this a plus on an "A to B" appliance car, so far I am happy, only have a few thousand up though.Update june 17, have approx. 17k on these tires, wearing quite well, they probably won't deliver a high mileage but still gives a nice quieter smoother ride than the Bridgestone tires on this car, so would recommend these.

Just had the front Yokohama BluEarth EA01's replaced & am happy to say that they lasted 45,000kms on a front wheel drive vehicle without a single tyre rotation or balance - tyres wore evenly.I would predict if rotated and balanced every 10,000kms I'd have gotten at least 60,000kms out of them.Over the 45,000kms I've spent with my first set of tyres the fuel consumption on my vehicle has gone from 7.6L/100km using Bridgestone Ecopia Ep25's down to an amazing 6.8L/100km on the Yokohama BlueEarth EA01s.The grip of the tyres didn't fall as they wore out, I can travel at highway speeds without slowing down - I've never aqua-planed once, even in torrential rain at 110km/h on the M1.Considering I only paid $129 per tyre, plus the fact these tyres scored #1 in their category beating Continental, Pirelli, BF GoodRich, Toyo, Bridgestone, Michelin & Kumho for dry/wet braking, dry/wet cornering, fuel efficiency & tread wear is amazing considering most of the competition are well into the $200 per tyre territory.As I not only saved hundreds of dollars in initial purchasing costs as well as running costs with 800ml/100km being saved then this adds up to impressive fuel savings.I recommend these orange-oil based tyres to everyone looking for the best low-rolling resistance tyres at a price that beats every other manufacturer.

I bought my second set of Yokohama tyres for my car and am very happy, both with quality of the tyres (smoother, quieter, better grip all round) and the service provided at Bob Jane t-marts. I was unsure about buying the tyres from there but I was happy from start to finish. In terms of the Bluearth, I would highly recommend these if you are considering buying tyres.

Love at the first 1 km drive out of the shop. Had Hankook(lasted over 2 years, with high kay driving annually) which did a reasonable job, but next to the Yokohama Bluearth, its chalk and cheese. The Bluearth impressed straight away with the compliant and quietness in the ride quality. The Lancer was never a quite car or sporty but on the new tyres got at Bob Jane Tmart (Belconnen ACT) on special is a revelation. 3 days in and mix drive of urban (50-70) and semi highway(90) have proven the extra dollar spent was worth it. Cornering is much more confident inspiring without mid corner kick. Somehow strengthen and compliment the braking whereby prior it feel the brakes was struggling. Haven't experience wet condition yet so that would make or break the love affair. Didn't realised the Bluearth is an "eco, low resistance tyres", had bad experience with Michelin eco type before where it was a joke in the wet(nearly reared a car cos it skid instead of stopping) and promise never again... So for the pure magic of transform the ride and handling especially smooth the ride and reduce noise and vibration on a high kay car is a real surprise. So far i'm happy with it. 5/5 (Just need to experience in wet and see if its durable).

Good grip, quiet running tyre
All good so far after 6000klms, however I feel shallow tread depth will affect ability to get high mileage. I will just have to wait & see. These tyres replaced Kumho which were awful particularly road noise. They sounded like worn out wheel bearings ...

Worn out at 25k
Had these fitted on my Hyundai Sonata about 18mths ago.They have worn evenly, but are now worn out and require replacing.Yes, in other ways the tyres do the job, but was expecting a bit more life expectancy from them.

The tyres we have fitted are 215/60/16 99H on a BF Ford Falcon Futura Station wagon and already have covered around 5000kms on them.Living in a rural area where we travel on both sealed & unsealed roads in all weather conditions, I have found these tyres tick all the boxes and then some.When first fitted the difference in ride comfort and the quietness of the tyres was very apparent, especially so when travelling at highway speed which is very much appreciated when travelling hours on end, and is especially welcome driving on unsealed roads.It was a great relief compared to the Kumhos that were fitted to the car when we bought it.The feeling of the tyres are sure footed, steering response is direct and predictable in all conditions.Unexpected appearances of wildlife crossing the road has assured me that braking at highway speeds is sound on all types of road surfaces and weather conditions.Wet weather performance too is more than you would expect for a tyre in this category and does the job securely with little or no fuss.Wear rates at this stage of the game are looking favourable, and I'm more than pleased that the tyre is a little more robust with a load rating of 99.Initially I was sceptical at the claims of better fuel consumption figures, but it's there! It's another added benefit that can't be sneezed at.In summing up, in quality terms you would be hard pressed to get better bang for your buck.Not only do they exceed expectations in all the day to day running tasks they are also a superb touring tyre.
