Reasonable
Purchased Hyundai Getz 8months ago that needed 2 front tyres. I was looking @ getting a set of Michelin XM2 s(after having them on my previous car) but had spent nearly all my money on buying the car. I tend to buy only reputable brand tyres, I only had enough money for these. $67 fitted + balanced. So far, 8 months & 16,000kms later these Nexen tyres have been satisfactory. Grip ok in the dry & wet (not as good as XM2). Tyre wear is reasonable, should get 30-35,000kms. They can be a bit noisy, depending on the road surface. All in all, they are just another budget tyre, but not an overly nasty one. MUCH MUCH BETTER than the Sava Intensa s that they replaced. Will be purchasing a set of Michelin s when these wear out. Would recommend this tyre if you re on a budget, other wise buy a better brand of tyre,

So far so good
I had to decide between michelin primacy lc s or a cheaper alternative. After much research I bought 4 Nexen cp661 215/60-16 fitted for $400. !2000 km s later I m happy with my decision. If I get 120000 trouble free km s like I did with the Michelin s I ll be converted to Nexen s. They are as quiet and comfortable as the Michelin s and are fine in wet or dry conditions.

OK for the price
I imported my Toyota Levin from Japan in early 2011. Despite my intention to put some good tyres on the car the workshop put these Nexens on. I thought, OK, if they are bad they ll wear out quickly and I ll put something decent on. Well, I guess you could call them adequate. I have done 45,000km in about 28 months and they are only now due for replacement. I drive along a 19 km stretch of winding mountain road on a daily basis, often wet, and often give the car a bit of stick. Have to say, while not exceptional, I have not had any scares in the dry or the wet. The suspension on the car is set up like a go--kart so it lends itself to a bit of a flogging every now and then. So, overall, for the price, you could do a lot worse. The tyres have worn evenly and have had no punctures despite bad North Qld roads. I have owned about 35 (mostly performance) cars and have driven around 3 million kms on them and have driven on a lot worse tyres. I m not even sure you can still buy these tyres so I don t know why I m bothering to write this or if anyone will read it!

Reasonable tyre
The wife s 2nd hand Toyota Wish (Corolla MPV) came fitted with a new set of these (195/65R15). Wet & dry grip are more than acceptable for the little 1.8L. They do seem to be very soft for a wear rating of 400. We ve had 3 punctures on the rear, 2 in 1 tire! Rather than buy 1 more Nexen CP661 I replaced both rears with Pirelli P1 which can be had for similar money (cheaper in some cases). We re left with 2 CP661 on the front that are getting close to the wear indicators after 30,000 km. I had high hopes for the Nexens but I wouldn t buy again when you can get quality European brands for the same cost that will last longer.

Not a great tyre in the wet. Average in the dry. Durability was good.
Durable tyres but I couldn t wait to get rid of them. Wet weather performance was well below par and made it feel like I was driving on bald tyres. Upgrading these tyres transformed the car and made it feel safe in the wet. Still had lots of thread left at 30K km but I decided to get something better.

dont waste the money
under 15000km s, less than 4mths old. bubble in side wall. dealer says he is doubtful of warranty repair. Have to send tyre off for up to 2 weeks. Told buy another one and hope warranty comes through or drive on 80km/h spare, on the 110km/h freeway until they decide. Last tyres lasted 70,000km s.

Not happy
we are constantly sideways and myself and wife are conservative drivers they were on our hilux that we purchased it 18 months ago and are looking to change them, any suggestions??? I have only heard good and bad things. Our experience isnt so good. They seem noisy as well and squeal when you hit second gear and give the car some stick. Can anyone tell me what they are like off road because we r planning on doing some four wheel driving this wet season but im a little stressed due to my normal on road driving experiences
