Tyre review - Michelin XM2
My first three cars were Renault's, and I always used Michelin tyres. Since then, I've tried several other brands, but always I've come back to Michelins for their all-round performance and durability. They're not the cheapest tyre on the market, but if you take into consideration their longevity, then I believe they're great value.

Great tyres with good durability on- and off-road. They have performed well on different types of ground. They are good at breaking with minimal noise. They are relatively long-lived. The car has performed well overall since I fitted them. I would buy these tyres again especially if I could get a good deal on them. Overall, it has been a good experience.

Awesome tyres!
Bought these for my wife s Nissan Micra as her tyres were worn. Wow what a change in how the car drives! It grips really well in the wet, especially around big roundabouts whereas the old tyres would feel like they were on the border of slipping, the XM2s felt very planted and inspires confidence. They have low road noise and so far have minimal wear after 10k kms.

Awesome and quiet
Bought this tyre after lots of research for a Suzuki Swift. This tyre came highly recommended from a colleague. Spoke to a few local tyre shops and decided to go with Bob Jane T-Mart. The grip of this tyre is amazing especially in the wet. It just grips wet or not. The tyre wear so far seems great but they ve only been on for two months. I havent really noticed an improvement in fuel consumption but that is most likely due to the tyre having been fitted to a small car.

pretty good
For tyres that are now made in Thailand, i was quizzical at the quality for sure. I was surprised that these were as good as the original french michelins of years ago. I have had 2 sets now averaging around 50,000km per set. I drive a lot of country roads, highways and long distances daily averaging 200km per day 5 days a week. The grip and life span is great. Not noisy whatsoever. Far superior to the Goodyear Excellence that came with the car originally.

Brilliant tyre after 4 years use
These tyres were fitted to my Toyota Avalon over 5 years ago, and have just needed replacement after driving 600 km per week during that time. They are quiet with low road noise and good road holding in all conditions. I have replaced them with exactly the same tyres as I am completely satisfied with them.

Pretty good
I have recently upgraded my tyres to xm2. I can feel the excellent control and grip over dry and wet compare to my old cheap budget tyre. My old tyres has no wet grip at all and that s why I needed to get better ones. I was expecting better fuel consumption but no noticeable change on that. Overall, I think they are pretty good.

Hyundai Excel

The good and the bad
Fitted to a Hyundai Excel. The good; Amazing wear for a car not driven like a Granddad, 100,000Kms has got to be excellent in anyone s book. Held pressure really well and very even wear, would have been contributing factors to the longevity. Hard to say on road noise, definitely not noisy , but not quiet either. Grip on a dry road was satisfactory, hung on with no histrionics. However, like all tyres, slowly got worse as they wore down. The bad; Wet grip not what you d call good when new, ok at best. Meant the car had to be driven with far more caution than in the dry. Wet braking also not the best, tendency to lock up quite early on a non ABS car. As they wore the wet grip went downhill, until by the end of their life, if you were in good mood, entertaining , in not so good a mood unnerving . Can t comment on the advertised better fuel consumption, nor can anyone else unless you do a proper scientifically based appraisal. Overall these tyres proved the old adage that long wearing tyres are harder, less grippy and worse in the wet than softer tyres. That s also to say they re not terrible by any stretch of the imagination. If you re someone who is happy to cruise around from A to B and have ABS then these are a tyre you should seriously consider.

Very pleased with my purchase.
I was a bit hesitant buying these because of the price, but man, they are worth it! These perform amazing on both wet and dry conditions. The biggest thing I noticed was how quiet these run on my Mazda 3. A lot of people recommended the Toyo tyres, but these worked just as well. Acceleration has improved especially when going uphill. Buy these, you won't regret it.

Had these - Never Replaced!
Lasted forever... You don't get a long lasting type that will be silent on the road, but these were about as good as they come!!! Highly recommended. Would repurchase. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Always found then reliable in all normal Sydney conditions. Shop around for a good price!

Handling surpass expectations for an "Eco" tyre
Brought a set for my mothers Honda Civic. Having good experience with Michelin Pilot Sports. Thought I'd give their Energy tyres a try. She raved how well they handle in the wet and makes those drives stress free. Thought she was exaggerating, but after experiencing it myself. I was pleasantly surprised. Have put just over 40000 KM on them with close commutes. Tyres still have plenty of tread life left. Only negative was screechy when pushed when new. went away shortly after.

Excellent quality & value for money
I purchased these tyres as a replacement to my VS commodore to replace the original xm1. These tyres a huge improvement over the xm1 with quieter road noise insulation, smoother ride, and greater towing tolerances. Overall evaluation is: excellent value, great grip in wet and dry, smooth ride, and long lasting. Highly recommended.

it was terilble !!
Just newly fitted to my honda city few days ago. Done the alignment as well. When rainy days, the tyres were really disappointed. The grip was terrible even at low speed (60-80km/j). I can felt the car was actually drifting when entering a corner. Even my worn Goodyear nct 5 tyre doesn't perform like that !! Never going to buy this tyre again.

Couldn't be happier
After having 205 65 R15 XM1s on my Nissan Maxima since December 2005, my mechanic who had just replaced my brake pads for the first time since new, told me that I probably was getting down to my last 5,000k with those tyres.I started to shop around and when I received "an offer that I couldn't refuse" from Bob Jane T-mart in Geelong, where I had my previous set fitted, I had 4 new XM2s fitted. My XM1s were very satisfactory, but, I noticed an immediate difference with virtually no road noise. We have since done several trips to the same place, over 120kms each way, and I am particular in watching our fuel consumption and I can assure you that where I was getting just under 11kms per litre with the XM1s, I clearly got 12.5Kms per litre with the new tyres. Now this is a 15 y.o. 6 cylinder Nissan Maxima and we drive to the speed limit and my overall reaction to these new tyres is extremely positive.
