Tyres very durable. I drive at night round trip just over 2000ks every 2 months. These tyres give a smooth ride. Handles brilliantly in the wet & dry. I’ve been using Kumho’s for a few years now & wouldn’t use any others.

I average 250 kilometres per day on the highway. I've driven on these tyres in all conditions including ice and snow. They're good tyres, quiet on the road, flexible on corners. I've swerved hard to avoid a kangaroo twice and they inspired confidence. I've had to break heavily twice doing between 60-70 kilometres and at higher speeds and they handled well. They appear to be wearing alright and I anticipate i'll get at least 50,000 kilometres with correct maintenance and rotation.

Had these tyres for just over 4 years on a Toyota Prius 2008. I got 62,000Km without having to do regular rotations (I did shift the front ones to the back on one occasion, as the front tend to wear faster). Their handling was good and the Kms is what I would expect, so I think it is a fairly good tyre. Would be happy to use again.

Just installed a set of 285/75r16 Kumho MT51 s on my Landcruiser, I have run Coopers, BFG, Brigestone, Maxxis and Mickey Thompson on past vehicles (All heavy duty 4x4), some of these have severely underperformed and displayed rapid deterioration. To date the Kumho MT51 s have been my favourite and are very cost effective. These are sold as a Mixed Terrain and they certainly are very quiet. I liked the fact that product testing was done in Australia for our conditions and our vehicles. These are not a small tyre, they are 33.1 inches and fill out the wheel arches nicely on my cruiser, unlike some other brands that are very small for their advertised size. I cannot comment on personal wear just yet, however I will update this review as I put more Km s over various terrain on these tyres.

I purchased a set of these tyres for our Camry Sportivo and have nothing but praise for there handling. They are quite and great at wet freeway speed, I previously had Dunlop tyres on the car which got louder as they wore and wore they did quickly. After buying these my father in law saw them and put a set on his 3 year old BMW and has said they handle much better and are much quieter than the Pirelli's he had on it.

The Tyre has a huge 'Kumho Solos KH17' logo on sidewall of the Tyre and it looks like you are driving an advertising board (unpaid of course).Disappointed that even now Korea is outsourcing itself to China. As such, not cheap considering where its made (ER30 made in Australia and cost $149 ea). Also no UTAG rating so UTAG in US is 400 but I have to wait and see.Doesn't brake as good (i.e. doesn't pull up as fast) as previous tires Bridgestone ER30 which is (standard OEM Tyre on VT commodore). Can feel tyres have higher rolling resistance and as I have to drive car harder and also slows down on hills that is would have previously coasted down at speed (same Tyre pressures as previous tyres 32 PSI all round).Harder sidewall so ride not as plush as Bridgestone ER30's.I will go back to Bridgestone ER30's next time even the ER30's don't grip great in the wet.Have to try KH17 in wet - tread pattern look like it should be good.

Fitted to Chrysler Voyager (People mover van). Only lasted 23,000K's which I did in about 19 months normal city travel. Recommended by Tyre shop near me to suit vehicle. They are a budget tyre but when I got them fitted in Nov 2009 for $298 including wheel balance which is standard I thought they were a pretty good deal. They drive and handle well but have a very low and poor life span. Will never buy again. Both tyres were at the front of the vehicle which is quite heavy and front wheel drive also.

Looking back, I bought these tyres because they were cheap and seemed to be getting good reviews for their handling. However, as soon as they were fitted to the car I realised that there was hardly any tread depth and that they were, in effect, half worn compared to an expensive tyre. I can not complain about the handling, but after just 10,000 km on my 2010 Pajero they are now worn out and I am looking for new tyres. I think I with pay more and get tyres with decent tread depth from the start. By the way, the Pajero was only being used to the weekends for leisure driving and has never been used for towing. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I have found these tyres to be excellent value for money for our family car. They are at least as good as much more expensive tyres and seem to handle really well wet or dry roads. The cars performance has always been excellent - Mazda 6 Sports and these certainly add to the experience of driving. WE tend to run the tyres a little over pressure and the wear pattern seems more even and consistent. VERY happy with these and will definitely be looking for the same when we replace them. I would recommend you do a careful price comparison and don't let the shop push you into an alternative based on their need to push a particular brand!!Enjoy!!

After 75000kms I decided it was time to replace the tyres with the same type and brand, but to my surprise they needed a double go at wheel balancing and wheel alignment. The bad part about my misfortune I had to pay for the service because I bought the tyres and with all their problems. But finally the wobble from the front went but the alignment has a tendency to wander to either left or right. These tyres are not as good as the original, althought they still stick to the road, wet or dry. So far I have done 22000kms but it is a far cry from the 75000kms I done with the originals.

I was a bit apprehensive in changing the tyres on my 2007 Hyundai i30 SLX diesel to Kumho Solus KH17. The tyres that were on the car were Toyo Eco's. The Kumho's are more grippy and quieter than the Toyo's which was a surprise as I was under the impression that the Kumho's were a cheaper and more inferior tyre than the Toyo's. I'm not sure how good they are in the wet as yet as where I live we haven't had much in the way of rain for quite some time. Please to say that I am currently happy with the Kumho's.

They are the Korean made KH17, Ive done 48000k on this set, not at the wear indicators yet. Ive been running them at 42psi (low profile) on a 2 litre manual 1300kg front wheel drive car with 2° camber doing just under 600k a week mostly on winding country roads. Rotated regularly, rebalanced once. Still nice even wear on all tires. They are good in the wet and dry, very quiet, overall I'm very happy with them. Averaging 7.7L/100k I don't know how much of that is the tires or just the pressure they are at. Previously used kuhmo ecsta spt which hang on like crap on a nappy but only getting at best 25000k. KU22 on AU XR8 also very sticky but gets low k's. I now have a set for my 2000 Subaru outback but these are made in Vietnam. The performance of this set of tires will determine if my long time love of Kuhmo tires will be stoked or extinguished.

I own a 2007 Toyota Camry Altise and have now done around 93K kms on two sets of these tyres. First set lasted around 49500 kms with vehicle fuel economy around 10-11km/ltr. The second set lasted around 42800kms with fuel economy around 11-12km/ltr. The tyre guys sold me these tyres as "Good mileage, fuel saver and generally safe" tyres. Tyres were regularly balanced and rotated every 10000kms. No pot holes or pavement meetings were met. Vehicle used daily to work and back. The first set: I used them on the vehicle manufacturers recommended tyre pressures (31PSi). They gave quiet and smooth ride, but loose in the cornering, and the wet (well below average grip). Opinion - Guess the side walls are weak and thin for standard pressures and found too much tyre roll - as the Camry rear end could not corner and was loosing grip around some corners and the wet was a hazard - even at low speed. The second set, I used them on the tyre guys recommended pressure (38PSi). This set was more noisy at that pressure, but the grip improved in the dry and wet. As can be seen above, slight fuel economy improvement as well. Mileage went down by around 20%. Opinion - This is more performance I would expect for a passenger vehicle tyre, but the mileage is really not good. (I haven't even driven the vehicle as if I stole it!)General conclusion - I will never buy these tires again for any of my vehicles. I will not even recommend them to the old folks! The tyre quality, I have experienced, is too unpredictable and disappointing. Guess, you get what you pay for...

I have Hyundai I45 premium ( 2013 ) and Kumho Solus 17 ( 225 - 45 - 18 ) were the standard fitment on the car. At the moment the car has just over 74.000 km on the clock and they are still legal ( only just but hey....), so I can't figure out people complaining about durability . Mind you it is all done mostly on the freeway , but I do like my corners , and I do accelerate properly , sharp driving , I am not dragging around ( I am riding sports bikes too , and ride them properly ) . I keep the pressure at 36PSI with regular check ups. In the beginning I tried 40 PSI ,but they started to wear the middle , so I dropped it down to 36PSI. No wear on the edges , alignment was only done when I bought the car and never again . Dry grip was fantastic , you can push as much as you want , they stay planted. It is the front wheel car ( with active suspension being the top of the range ) , and with a bit of a brake trailing into the corner , the front is going where you point it , but if you go stupid the rear will slide out , although that is probably related to H I 45 ( car dealer was properly scared on demo drive ...).In the wet still decent but I never pushed like mad in the wet , so I cant comment. For spirited drive in the wet , no problems , and no aquaplaning on the flooded freeway at 110km/h when most Australians simply stop their car in emergency lane or drag themselves at 30km/h on freeway with hazard lights on..... Regarding the noise , I 45 is producing a bit more noise then our Honda Accord (2013 , current model ) on Michelins but again I think it is the Honda thing......( overall refinement of that car is just unbelievable , and in a league of its own ) . For me , fantastic tyre that fits its purpose and I am probably going to replace them with same or similar for Kumho ( regarding the price , it just makes them even better ). There are tyres that grip better , but they are going to cost me like a first love and will wear out much quicker . No thank you....

I can't understand these guys whining about getting 20K-30K out of them, God only knows how they drive to get so little out of a reasonably durable tyre. I had 18" ones on my new Hyundai i45, just got 65K from the fronts, bought 2 new ones, then got to 75K on the rears, after which I rotated the new ones on the front with 10K on them to the rear and 2 new for the front. I usually put about 4psi more than the label says in them. I find them excellent in the dry and pretty good in the wet and the wear also very good, firm ride, but the low profile and hard suspension in the i45 contribute to that anyway. I would class myself a moderately agressive driver in style and travel a lot on mountain roads in the country as well as the city, so overall a pretty good tyre.

I bought a new Kia Rio with these tyres fitted as OEM. Seemed OK but ride was a bit harsh. Tyres rotated and wheel alignment at 10K. These tyres were worn by 20K and I am a mature age driver trying to save fuel.I could not recommend these tyres for the Kia Rio. Currently running Bridgeston PZX (Performance) as limited options for 195/55 x 16. These are smoother and quieter( when new) and at 38psi. These are wearing on the edges and although the local Bridgestone dealer says I should get 40K he also agrees I will only get around 20K the way they are wearing. Wheel alignments and rotations have been done.Has anyone else had a similar experience with the UB 2012 on Kia Rio?

Bought these tyres based on reviews and recommendations. My Mitchelin primacy 3st need replacing and the store didn't stock them so the Kumho's were recommended. First impressions good, nice and quite, grip on dry road good.I had driven about 4000/5000km when we had our first major rains. Wife complained to me that the car was skidding/sliding in the wet weather. Checked the pressure 32psi, phoned around, send emails to Kumho (via their web page). The store where they got fitted contacted me, they checked them out. All good, they said the tyre pressure should be 35psi / not 32psi - Kumho's recommendations. Great - makes a big difference now, car feels much safer. BUT not a word from Kumho! So if Kumho every read this - Your customer services sucks - I'll never buy your tyres again.

I just replaced the complete set of Kumho KH17 tyres of my Honda Accord. I did not expect it to last over 70,000 kms but it did. The Kumho were replacement of the original tyres Michellin fitted, which for comparison only lasted for about 55,000 kms. I chose Kumho at that time because they were cheaper than other known brands. I can't comment on the performance, road handling, grip and noise because I'm no expert. However they seem to be ok in these aspects. I did not have problems. I drive the car mostly on highways and in suburban areas. I've now replaced the KH17 with their apparently much improved Kumho Ecowing KH27 at the suggestion of Kmart Auto Tyre Service staff.

OK tyres for the price but quality... not sure!

bought a set of 4, rotated every 10K, pressure checked regularly, drive mostly on freeways. With still 4.5mm of thread left on them, one came "separated" after a lengthy investigation and concluded that it was a manufacturing fault Kumho refunded $20 what an insult even my local tyre guy was scratching his head saying "not good for the brand's image, is it?".Plus: reasonable cheap to purchase by comparison, noise level lowMinus: unpredictable quality for something that your life depends onIf you are on a budget, buy it, they are OK. If however you can spare a few more dollars do what I did, stop experimenting with no-names and go back and stick with Pirelli and the like, since after 27 years I never ever had an issue and they all lasted in vicinity of 85000 Km plus and from what I am hearing if there is ever, throughout the entire life of the tyre, a quality issue, they replace the tyre no question whatsoever.

Put a set of these on my Volvo XC70, and was very happy with the price and the high grip level. They have a very straight tread pattern, meaning that they are very quiet on the open road. I do find that there is a lot of sideways movement in the size configuration for my car (215/65/16), it really feels like the sidewalls are not strong or reinforced enough. In the first 12 months, I had to replace two rear tyres due to side wall fractures (although we have a rather precarious driveway, where the concrete has lifted in a section due to tree roots, so that doesn't help!). While certainly NOT a performance tyre, I would imagine that these tyres would suit for all passenger cars, especially those who spend a long time on the freeway.

My 2009 KIA Cerato SLI came standard with 215 X 45 X 17 Kumho Solus KH17's.Good performance in the dry. Good performance under braking. Only average performance in the wet when new, As more kilometres were placed on the tyres, wet weather performance decreased further.Last week I replaced the tyres at 48,200. They were still legal, not quite down to the tread wear markers. However over the last few thousand kilometres the Kumho's did not handle well. Like as if the tyre walls themselves had lost strength or rigidity. (I even tried increasing the air pressure slightly to counter this effect). To be fair, the tyres were now over six years old.I replaced the tyres with the same type, simply because for $118 they do represent value for money. Also I have heard that Kumho have improved the KH17. Certainly the new Kumho tyres feel great so far. They also seem quieter than the original ones.Looking for fantastic performance, look elsewhere. Looking for value, these tyres are a sensible choice.

I drive a Hyundai Accent with Kumho Solus KH17 195/50 R16 tyres and have just clocked up 67000km.They are quiet, great in the wet and dry with a comfortable ride. They get rotated every 15000km, wheel alignment gets done every 15-20k and tyre pressure is checked at 35psi every couple of weeks with mainly suburban highway driving.I could probably squeeze it to 70000km and still be legal but am replacing now with the same tyres as I have no issues with them at all.

Fitted to a 2008 Ford Focus Hatch driving 90% country roads and highways i was forever replacing balancing weights and rotating tyres. Run them at 38psi. Yes they were quiet but at 38,000kms all four are illegal. Thinking Dunlop 300E or Goodyear Excellence 195/66R15

Hyundai i45, 2.4l, 225/45/18 These tyres came with the car and they were pretty good until I had them rotated the second time, front and rear at my car's second service at 30000km. The vibration and noise was so bad that I took the car back to the dealership as I was afraid something had not been properly tightened! (You could feel the vibration through the steering) The mechanic took a drive with me and said that it was due to feathering of the tyres. I have tolerated the noise for the past 10000km and the two on the rear are now at their legal limit. The two currently on the front will move to the rear for a month or three while I save up to replace them as well (probably not more than 3000km) I do check my tyre pressures every week.In their defence, their grip-levels are very good, wet and dry. I enjoy sticking to the speed limit - even if the stated limit is posted on an extremely twisty bit of Adelaide Hills road. Tap the paddles to drop it down a gear or three and hang on! I hope the replacements offer the same levels of grip - just more quietly!

I bought two of these tyres for the front of my E38 7 Series BMW. Although I think they are better then what I had on there when I bought the car (Bridgestone Turanza) I think they are much more noisy at freeway speed, Developed bulges in the side wall (after less than 100km on a sealed freeway and didn't hit anything), Kuhmo wouldn't warrant them but Bob Jane did and replaced both of them. Less than 50 kms later the same thing happned both tyres on both inside and outside walls. The steering's been checked, car had a wheel alignment when it got the first set. Maybe a bad batch? They wouldnt warrent the second set. Will never but these again.
