Tyres being new performed very well, alot of ride comfort and less noise compared to the old set of tyres.Took it sand dune (Gnangara Pines) driving last weekend, let the tyre pressure down to 18psi and was doing ok. Lowered it to 14psi and the amount of grip was fantastic for a road tire like this. Gnangara Pines has very soft/fine sand and these tyres managed very well.These are rated to last up to 80,000km (from memory) so will see how it stacks up over time when I do the odd off-roading with mostly city driving. Planning to take it to gravel roads and muddy pads for testing in the future. Looking to provide an update in a few months time.5 April 2016 - Almost 1.5 years has gone since I acquired these tyres. Thought I give everyone an update of how it held up. I can only say I am most impressed. Firstly, I am not a daily driver that does long distances but we do bring it out to the unsealed road for action around once or twice a month. That will give some context on my usage pattern. They work a treat since my driving is mostly (90%) urban and others (10%) unsealed. The tyre holds its pressure quite well compared to my last set (which had to be checked every week)... it might have been a really old set of tyres. These Kumho ones still look brand new with plenty of thread left, I have probably done about 35,000 km on it. It is still comfortable to ride on, the noise is minimal and vibrations are non-existent. To maintain the mileage warranty, you need to take it in every 10,000km. I stopped doing it after 20,000km, as my vehicle alignment is seldom off and I don't see a point putting in more money every 10,000km for an alignment ($80). Although I still have free wheel rotation and balancing from KMART Tyres. I am waiting for it to hit 40,000km before I bring it in for an alignment. I am confident these threads will last another 20,000km for my style of driving.
