Good tyre
These were bought for a second set of wheels in 235/55R17 size, the other tyres I've got are 255/40R19 ContiSportContact 6. The Asymmetric 2 were good value for the money compared to other options (noting they're now a discontinued model.) I wanted something that handled well, was quieter on coarse roads surfaces and less likely to suffer damage on long interstate trips or if I ventured down the odd dirt track. These definitely fit those requirements. The reason I've put down I wouldn't buy them again is because two tyres developed sidewall depressions after about 2000km. They were replaced under warranty. I've found two other people (BMW owners) have had the same problem.

Goodyear Tyres Wearing out Fast
Being a newer model tyre as opposed to what tyres came with the car I expected better. Having traveled only 500 kms approx the front tyres appear to be wearing fast.On the plus side the braking performance in dry weather is quite good unsure yet on wet roads. Minor noise when driving at 80 kms and over.

1 out of 4 is defective
Do not buy. I bought 4 tyres GOODYEAR ASSYMMETRICAL2 - eight months ago, 1 tyre has been noisy for 3 months. On inspection, had a large crack right down through the steel radials. These are defective tyres. Car has not had an impact to cause this. 1 in 4 defective. Out of pocket $350. Would NOT buy again. TYREPOWER would not replace under warranty.

Very quiet and comfortable
Just bought two of these tyres because they had rave reviews from a British tyre review website as a very good high performance tyre. I have a car with firm suspension, and I like a firm ride. These tyres are very soft and I don t really like how it makes my car feel. I want a tight taut sports car feel, not a soft luxury ride. :-(

Fantastic tyres ... and they saved me from a potential crash!
These tyres came standard on my 2013 Ford Focus ST and are 235/40/18. I ve done about 14,000Kms on them now and I have to say, these are the best tyres I ve ever had; even better than my former favourites, Pirelli PZero Neros. The grip is outstanding and I ve pushed the car around corners as fast as I m game to go and no sign of loss of grip. The grip in the wet has been equal to the Pirelli PZero. They are quiet too. As for wear - well with about 50% suburban, 30% highway and 20% windy, hilly roads, (enthusiastic driving on the later) I would say they are about 30% worn (on the front) 10% on the rear. I estimate about 45,000 Kms minimum tyre life. That s pretty good for a performance tyre in my opinion. I am now a big fan of the run on flat technology which I didn t know they had. Today, they potentially saved my butt! I was turning into a side street when the rear kerbside tyre blew out (clipped a piece of concrete reinforcing rod lying on the road). At the speed I was going, the rear of the car could have easily swerved into the central traffic island resulting in serious damage - instead, the car behaved like nothing was wrong at all. The only way I knew I had a blow out was the astoundingly loud bang - and the warning light on the dash. These tyres are a 10/10 in my books.

Durable go cart type handling sticks to road very well
So far after 25 months 60100 km, mainly highway km s would have to have with rotations at least another 10 to 15000 K before first change now that s pretty damn good for performance tyre , fitted to focus st , corners very well , happy to have again and again

Excellent grip and very quiet
I have consumed two sets of the Yokohama Advan decibel tyres on my Mercedes C180 and thought they were the quietest tyre available. I was wrong. The Goodyear Eagle F1 A2 is even quieter. After 5000km the tyres are wearing dead flat and with only 0.5mm of tread lost the life should be quite good. The grip is excellent in both the wet and dry with strong shoulders that don t get ripped apart on roundabouts. I first drove this tyre on a MY15 Porsche Cayman and was amazed by the grip and quiet ride. Without a doubt the best tyre I have ever driven on. My other car is a MY12 Porsche Cayman and is running the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. This tyre also has excellent grip but no where near the superb quiet ride. I can see why Porsche now use the F1 A2 as original equipment on selected models.

really really good
These F1 s were on my new 2013 Focus Titanium (235/40/18). Now 57,000 standard km later they are still in pretty good condition. I don t drive hard but wet or dry they are sure footed in corners or stopping. Had a alignment and re-balance but still mild vibration at 100-110 km/h. I find them a bit noisy but it s a small price to pay for the security. They get my vote for longevity and safety.

Bad Quality, Defective, Do Not Buy!
Purchased 4 of these early this year, 1 of them blew up with a 4cm long crack at side of the tyre last week. The tyre service center cannot find any evidence of impact which would cause this kind of damage however the Goodyear head office people said it s by a big impact and is not covered by warranty! Now I am worried about the rest of 3 tyres on my car, will they run my life away. I previously had 3 set of Bridgestone RE050, never had any issue.

3/4 defective
GoodYear seems to have a serious quality issue. I had 3/4 defective tires with lots of shimmying. Rebalanced several times with no help. It is definitely due to defective tire as you can see it vibrating at balancing machine. Well these things happens, but what should not happen is that changing them to good ones is next to impossible if purchased online. Otherwise a great product. Lots of dry and wet grip and road feedback.

Good quality but at price
I have been running these for 5000k s now on my Mondeo XR5 Turbo and have found them to be an excellent all-round tyre (245/40 18). The Mondeo has high load and speed ratings for some reason which makes it expensive to by tyres for but after a lot of shopping around I found them at a good price from Tempe Tyres compared to other tyres of similar quality.

Excellent Tyre
I recently have had Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 s fitted to my car (225-40-18-92Y) and so far they are a great tyre, very grippy, quiet and comfortable. I had great difficulty deciding on which tyre to buy for my car as there are so many different tyres on the market these days. I wanted a tyre that offered great handling and braking in both dry and wet conditions, is quiet and comfortable and has decent rolling resistance. The GY EF1 A2 has got great reviews and I thought that this would be my next tyre of choice. However, when I inquired on prices through several of the larger tyre franchises I was quoted an average of $355 per tyre. To put that into perspective, other premium tyres were quoted at around $100 less per tyre from the likes of Michelin, Pirelli and Continental. After a lot of ringing around and web browsing I found them at $245 per tyre from a smaller independent store (not parallel imports). A saving of $110 per tyre/$440 per set......crazy! I highly recommend these tyres but shop around and don t get ripped off by the larger tyre stores.

Best wet weather road tyre I have ever driven on
The amount of lateral G force that you can generate in the wet out of these is very impressive for a road tyre. Braking too is impressive. I do recall an SS Commodore tricked up and lowered trying to match me through a roundabout in my diesel auto in the wet. OK I was going reasonably hard but didn t break traction at all and ol mate very nearly introduced the front end of his car to the scenery as he went spearing off to the left of me in a state of terminal under steer. All games aside these are a very safe tyre but for the average drive probably a bit over kill for the price. If, on the other hand, you like a bit of club day action and to drive a bit more spirited but don t want to go for a semi race tyre, then this is the one for you. May even work on a tricked up SS Commodore lol. I got mine at a really good price of $200 a corner but expect to pay more than this.

This is the tyre for non-racing Falcons/Commodores
I had Dunlop Sport MAXX fitted on my XR50 delivery and ran them for 4 years. While their handling qualities were superb, they were rough in the pits and road defects, and noisy. The Goodyears fixed those two issues - awesomely soft and very quiet! It feels like a car upgrade now! The Falcon still handles nicely even though not as tack sharp as on the sporties. We use the car as a family sedan so the Eagles are the perfect tyres - highly recommended for all use except race track. They can also do a full stop without re-braking and kick-backs since they are smooth in nature, while giving lots of control in all non-racing situations. I wish they came with the new car so I was not cringing about bad roads .

Awesome tyres
These tyres are amazing. I changed to them on my 2006 Accord Euro and it feels like a totally different car, with much better handling and steering feedback and precision, and the best grip in both dry and wet weather. I originally had Bridgestone Potenzas which were ok and then Bridgestone MY02 sporty style which were horrible on wet roads, with dangerously low grip. Definitely recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1 aymmetrics for anyone looking for a premium tyre with excellent steering feedback and the best grip.
