Driving steady and regular tyre maintenance
After putting a fresh set of General GT’s on my Toyota. I started my journey to go around Australia . Towing a caravan lucky enough the van was able to fitted with the same tyres and rims which gave me two spares. After month went by I had clock up 6000 kms very easily. So when I stopped at cans an park I ask the owner if I could Rotate my tires he lent me a floor jack which was handy . Because I was Retired and handy on the wheel brace . Over a six year period of driving around Australia and other places I managed to get 70,000 on my Toyota tyres and still the van tyres and rims are able to be integrated into my car. Note that wheel alignmentIt’s and axle bearing services are very important . Iam regularly checking and rotating to get the maximum usage . It’s a good feeling to have good tyres that can hang on strong until they need replacing.

Odd Size for an All Terrain Tyre?
At this early stage only 3000 klms I m very happy with the choice I was looking for an A/T tyre without the aggressive tread pattern of many available; something like the Pirelli Scorpions I have used before or something from Continental. But couldn t get this type of tyre in my size. After looking overseas at reviews I came across these, and they were available from the local Bob Jane store reasonable price and have so far exceeded what I thought I might have been getting. We have been towing a small camping trailer over gravel and dirt roads with confidence, and they are extremely quite on the blacktop. Great so far.

Surprisingly good at first try
235/50R18 Fitted to 2010 VW Tiguan on 10/11/17. Awkward size so not as cheap as I would have liked but reasonable deal from Bob Jane. $249 per corner. 500km day trip through QLD Sunshine Coast hinterland 12/11/17. Weather alternating cloudy and rain. Good performance on freeway, not significantly noisier than previous road biased tyres. Quite satisfied with grip and turn in on tight twisty tarmac and poor surfaces in the ranges - no problems with wet tarmac road. 150km of dirt and gravel roads in the Ammamor state forest, dry, damp and some bucketing rain and wet muddy forest roads. A little bit of soft wet grassy areas. Tiguan used in both road and off-road modes. Ended up with no reason to use the off-road mode. Performance in slippery conditions was good and around very wet and muddy forest track tight corners was reassuring. Overall, recognising that they were brand new, the tyres got a good workout in a wide variety of conditions. I was reasonably impressed and am happy with the purchase.
