Kuhmo APT KL51
Tyres are great on road and for light off road duties. Have travelled extensively throughout western NSW and central Queensland on tar, dirt and gravel roads without any problems at all.

Slippery when wet - not game to try snow
Replaced the original tyres on a 2010 VW Tiguan with Kumho Road Venture APT, immediately noticeable loss of grip & traction, particularly when it is wet. This is the second slippery set of Kumhos I have had on a vehicle, the last set being about 15 years ago (avoided them until now) and I will never buy them again. Have had various brands of tyres on different cars (mostly 4WD) over the years - I have never otherwise experienced such poor road grip as with the two sets of Kumhos.

A good tyre
Decided to put these on our santa fe to replace the origional tyres. Looked around for a while - size 235/65/17 so not a real lot of choice. Ended up going for these and am happy with the choice. They are quiet to a degree, better than ones on there anyway. Got them from Kmart tyre and auto, did a fantastic deal with $190 per tyre. For that price they are very good value. To drive on they are a little squishy,have alot of tread depth so that would account for part of that. They have a very good treadware rating of 600, which when you look about is very good, alot of tyres getting about with ratings of 450 or so. Make sure you ask your dealer about this, not many of them give up the info on some of the bigger name brands as they have pritty poor ratings. The toyo open country has a rating of 650 but are alot more expensive. Wet traction is very good,dirt road just ok but we do 95 percent of driving on the road anyway so no big concern. Cornering seems to be as good as it can be, remembering we drive a santa fe not a porsche 911 or anything.If you want a performance tyre this is not for you, nor is our car hence the tyre we chose! Tread wear seems to be good to, not uneven, we do get them rotated and balanced,aswell as having a full wheel alignment done on purchase. Overall they seem to be a very good tyre, especially for the money paid, i have had better tyres but on different cars and you just cant compare like for like. I will buy them again next time.

Replacement tyres for Cativa Lx
Have just replaced the 4 Goodyear SP270R tyres with the Kumho KL51s.It's early days but they feel much better than the OEM tyres which onlylasted 45k, despite being rotated every 15k with mostly freeway driving.Paid $760 for 4 tyres including fitting from Advance Tyres in Richmondfor 235 55 18 size. I shopped around and spoke to several tyre fitters whoall said Kumhos should give as good if not better life than the Goodyears.

Kumho Tyres
I purchased 4 new Kumho tyres (from Tyrepower) and has them fitted. I was after something that was good in the wet, and they definitely seem to fit the bill. The guys at Tyrepower in Berwick were super helpful and nice, and were done quicker than expected. When I drove out, compared to the old ones, they felt like I was driving on a cloud!

ford courier xl 2.6 not a bad ole jigger long an short its made by mazda
not bad 4 bush bashin & quite reasonable on the road
having had 2 sets of these over around 130.000 k/s long an short when I bought the ole girl it had real 4wd boots on it long an short far 2 noisy on a reguler road but these kumho,s are not all that loud 4 nomal drivin so Ive stuck with them dous most of the off roading setup fairly well 1 just hasta take a little more care but long an short they r pretty good 4 bush bashin

Great Tyre for the money
I first purchased APT KL51 Kumho tyres 3 years ago for Toyota Kluger. they were rated 80,000 km. I think the tyre is a bit of an all rounder but leans towards bitumen roads. Get real you can not have it both ways. I live on a dirt road and I replaced the tyres at 60,000 with the same. The only reason the tyres did not last the distance is because I never had a wheel alignment and only 2 rotations during the life of the tyre. For the price they are great value. Three years ago I paid about $1,100 from Kmart fitted with alignment.The second time round I purchased 4 tyres on eBay for $799 from international tyre trader delivered to Cooma tyre installer. Alignment, balanced and fitted for $137. If I get another 60,000 km I will be very happy. Please note that to try an get 80,000 km out of any tyre costs big bucks. You have to pay for rotation,balance and an alignment every 5,000 or 10,000 km which is more than the tyre is worth.

Delamination when only 50% worn!
Was loving these four tyres that I bought to replace the noisy original bridgstones on the RAV4 back in December 2010.225/65/176 years later exactly, 58km's and only 50% wear- two of them (at least) have gone badly out of round after a couple of hour round trip on the hot summer highway.I am a mechanic and was looking after these things like never before.Was happy with every aspect of these and was on track for 100km's of life out of them till this happened.Would you replace only two out the four when they came from the same batch?I think not!So I am in the market for another set- once bitten, twice shy- not kumho.If it wasn't for this, I would have been up round the 4 star area- ho hum

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander
Tyres not bad but noisy on 2009 Santa Fe
Ok here we go got 68,643 klms on 23560R18 KL51 tyres in that time had 2 punctures, only thing we found and did not like from day one was the tyre noise and harsh ride from them.Wont be replacing them with same will get our previous tyre Hancook was much better and better milage.

2009 NS NS Pajero Turbo diesel
not impressed
I purchased a second hand 4wd a year ago that had 4 new APT KL51 tyres on it. I have my tyres rotated & balanced every 5,000kms and I average 20-25,000kms/ year. So the tyres are being rotated & balanced every 3-4 months.One tyre lasted a mere 10,000km after becoming out of round and unevenly worn, causing bad vibrations through the steering. I emailed Kumho and got no reply. (clearly not interested in customer service)The other tyres I find puncture easily and now have had all tyres repaired at some stage and they've done less than 20,000kms. I've never had experienced such problems before with other tyre brands and have decided enough is enough. I'm replacing them tomorrow with another brand.Good bye Kumho!!!

Don't drive on wet roads
These tyres were on my 4wd that I bought secondhand last year. They were at less than half life. Great in dry conditions, but I have had 2 instances of the rear tyres losing traction on wet roads, the first when turning at traffic lights, the second when on a roundabout. Both instances were at relatively low speed. I would not even consider replacing them with the same tyres.

2011 Isuzu D- Max
Great improvement in ride comfort
We have now run these tyres for 10,000 km on our Isuzu D- Max which we use as a tow tug for our fifth wheel caravan. The vehicle was originally fitted with Bridgestones. Fitting the Kumhos improved the ride significantly and reduced road noise. The improvement in ride comfort is particularly impressive when the ute is running empty. Tread wear is looking good so far.
