These tyres are good but I would like a tyre that is a bit more aggressive.

recommended allrounder
Had these on the 2002 Prado for 60k mostly road use. Air down well, had them down to 10psi to get out of sand. perform great on sand, gravel and rocky bits. Could do better in wet clay but normal mud is ok. Performs well in steep terrain. Plenty of tread left now but getting noisy and seem to have lost some on road wet traction both of which wasn t an issue until now. We chose the light truck version which I fully recommend. There are 2 types of silent armour, made in USA or Thailand (or Asia somewhere) make sure you get the usa made version. Overall extremely happy, great value.

Best 4wd tyres I have ever had
Did Cape To Cairo twice with a set -- not a single flat tyre all the way. Recommended it to all complaining about the harsh African conditions and roads. When I move to Australia for work in remote areas I immediate switched tyres to these and eliminated all those flats I got in the Pilbara. I have had a set on my jeep Wrangler now for 75 000 km and gong strong on the next set. Good on road as well as off road and will give you years of service -- well worth the outlay just to eliminate the frequency of those flat tyre in remote areas. Currently exploring Cape York with a new set and not a single flat in more than 25 000 km yet. Best tyres ever.

I am not happy with the results of these tyres less thn 50000Kms on the clock and these tyres have had it. this was a new vehicle in 2008 and I only use it for road use. They are like remolds as the tread is just peeling off. I have now gone to coopers see how they go.

No grip on wet roads.
I had these tyres fitted less than 3,000 kms ago, they are smooth and quiet but..... Wet road grip is very poor, I find myself sliding sideways on corners and in roundabouts while travelling far slower than the other vehicles around me at the time. The dealer has offered no options for refund or changeover even though I have complained to him about the poor wet road grip (and they are not very good on dry tar either, and no I m not driving like a hoon.. I m driving slower than most of the other traffic on the roads). I m using them on a 2007 Holden Rodeo twin cab diesel ute, not exactly a high performance vehicle. I ve been happy with assorted Goodyear tyres on my various vehicles in the past, but these Wrangler Kevlar A/T s just don t cut it.

Happy
I am on my 3rd set now and am totally happy with them. They are safe in the wet and tough as nails in the dirt. I have only average 60ks out of my 2 other sets but i do drive hard and tow a work trailer and i will buy them again.

Good for easy off road
This tyres are killer on the sand. Really you drive anywhere. They look good too, I mean very good. I have them on my Pajero and I am not scared to go off road or on the beach. Of course they wont be quite on the motorway as regular flat tyres but it is not so bad. Handling in rain is OK.

Great alternative to the popular brands for heavy 4wds
We have been running these for 25,000 kms on a 200 Cruiser. I was looking for a tyre with a larger aspect ratio than the Dunlops that are standard. We go off road once every 10weeks and then for 1 month each year in WA - all sand work. Even though the Dunlops are well regarded for sand, the difference having the Goodyears on is completely noticeable. The Goodyears are easily as quiet, well more capable in the sand - especially heavy soft sand. The cruiser wonders about like a smeall Suzi. So far the wear appears minimal, but way too early to call. On the blacktop, no problems at all. I had BFG ATs on my 100 Series before this - overall, the Goodyears are partially better. No work on gravel or mud, so no comment.

Set of 30s & 31s
Had 30s on Hilux and just got my 2nd set of 31s perfect for everything on & off-road better then bfgs I would recommend dropping tyres to 18 or 20 psi in mud but in my opinion they re really good I ll definitely buy another set of them they really hold up to what I throw at them.

Good tyres in the NT
I ve had these tyres on my LC200 for 65K and still have about 10K left before they will be completely buggered. Not much good in the mud at this point but were fair to good when new. Dirt road driving was great and still is. I do run them pretty hard at 45psi on the highway, but I do carry a fair load and often tow my rather large 2150kg boat. I did get the USA made variants and have rotated the spare in at each rotation. I did notice that the front tyres started to wear a little hard on that otter edge at about the 60K mark, so I flipped all the tyres on the rims. They are still going strong. I air them down to 26psi whenever I go off roading and they perform flawlessly. Have not used them in the sand ( beaches) but the tracks I drive do have some deep sandy stretches. At 26psi they tend to dig in a bit, but I have never been stuck to the point I could not drive out with the help of the crawl feature. Dropping pressures lower would probably help, but the sandy patches are only a few hundred meters long. The rest of the track is pretty much hard pack with a few rocks thrown in for good measure. I will definitely get another set of these. 285x70 - 17. Cheers Mark

Super quiet
Only done 5000ks but wear brilliant especially 2000ks was stoney/gravel and towing heavy camper trailer. Left Bolwarra station via Chillagoe to the back way to Hughenden, half way to Antrim station Hughenden/Muttenburra RD, to Julia Creek and to Winton on to Rockhanpton for Easter . Then back to Hughenden Antrim station, then back to Bolwarra station. Can t believe how quiet they are The tyre I used LT245.75.16 on a Nissan RX king cab.

Excellent 4 WD Tyre
I was a little concerned going from HT to AT tyres. We do not do a a lot of off road driving, however I was dissatisfied with the current tyres I had fitted in terms of grip and wear. I am very satisfied with the AT/S - ride comfort is exceptional, very little road noise is transferred to the cabin and they offer fantastic grip. I haven t had the chance to use them off-road however I am more than thrilled with them for city driving
