Poor fuel economy. Poor longevity Fuel consumption has gone up 15%. Rear tyres now need replacing after only 50 000km. Rubbish and won't touch any Bridgestone tyres again. Poor fuel economy The tyres may be ok for grip in the wet & dry, but calmed fuel savings of 5% is CRAP. Fuel consumption has increased by 15 % I used to get an average on around 9.1 ltrs per 100klm or better. But now struggle to get in the high 9s.

Quiet and smooth but a quite spongy Fit these on a 2007 Honda CRV from Bridgestone Dueler 470, size is 225-65-17. I changed tyre since the 470 only lasts around 40,000km. These tyres are very quiet and smooth. The bumps in the road are levelled out and road noise on smooth roads is alm ... Fit these on a 2007 Honda CRV from Bridgestone Dueler 470, size is 225-65-17. I changed tyre since the 470 only lasts around 40,000km. These tyres are very quiet and smooth. The bumps in the road are levelled out and road noise on smooth roads is almost gone and on coarse chip is noticeably reduced. Makes the car quite pleasant to drive. Have not noticed a difference in fuel economy but the claim is only 3% and apparently worn tyres are more economic than new tyres due to loses in the tread so thats probably the difference there.The worst thing about the tyres is the increased body roll when cornering and generally flimsy sidewalls. When pushing the car side to side, the car wobbles around like jelly much more than the old tyres, some of this is in the tread but much in the sidewall . Even at 35psi (car recommends 30 psi) the tyres dont seem firm. I guess this is the tradeoff with the smooth quiet ride. However, throwing the car into a corner in the dry, it didnt squeal or slide at all. But I do have VSC.I also did a mountain trip, with fast hard cornering an felt significantly more body roll, felt I needed slow down more for corners, doesnt feel as secure. In the city the drawbacks are taking a fast turn at an orange light also feels like there is more understeer and body roll, also driving slow on a very bumpy road, the car feels like its wobbling around everywhere.As a comparison, some what crude, I did a 'tyre kicker' test, pushing the tyre hard with my foot, or the whole car to see how much it deflects. The ecopia e850 deflects a lot, the goodyear efficient grip just as much, the bridgestone dueler 697 and 470 significantly less. The goodyear wrangler is also a more sturdy tyre although I didnt do the same comparison.So in summary - a great tyre is you do mostly gentle cornering, highway and city driving. If you do a lot of hard cornering, hill driving etc I'd go recommend the duelers. Personally I will go for something else next time, like dueler 697s if they existed. Not that impressed. If you buy some and feel the same drawbacks, I recommend pumping the tyres up to a higher pressure, watch out for the max. Similar opinion? Write a review!
