Cheap childs Tyre swing
I rationalized this purchase expecting may be 40000km from these Desert Hawks which is half the 80000 km you get from the Cooper Zeon AT and at just over half the cost... I thought I could live with that.. nope I dont think they even made a 3rd of the Kms
Ive got my original Coopers on the Front they have done over 60000 and they have easily 20000 left on them. The Desert Hawks were put on at 25000 and they are down to the nubs....
The Desert Hawks lacked traction on wet roads and gravel great if you want to drift in a 4 wheel drive.
Wet gravel/mud... I could barely stop side slip, the only thing that saved me in mud was the Coopers on the front maintaining control and pulling the rear through...
My recommendation tie them to a rope and give them to the kids next door.

2001 Mitsubishi Pajero
Achilles Desert hawk all terains fro me from now on
I brought the Achilles desert hawk A/T after a long process, I really wanted the M/T but figured I don't do enough mud , the A/T have handled everything I've thrown at them mud, sand, rocks and even a little snow. places like Black duck valley Landcruiser park Straddie and Frazer no problem, they are good on the road the Pajero is my daily drive so there has been a few KM on road with no problems I was surprised with the wear they have worn even and still after 65,000 km have about another 15-20,000 left. I will replace them with another set when I need to :)

2015 Suzuki Grand Vitara Diesel
Achilles Desert Hawk A/T - Overall Good but not remarkable.
Got two years out of these tyres. 50,000km. First year working up the snow and the fourby (Suzuki Grand Vitara Diesel) did hundreds of km's every week thru snow, mud and dirt roads getting to work. Plus a lot of highway k's. Very happy with handling, tyres were quiet until they got older. Had some epic wet trips and was grateful that the tred pattern worked well. I do not tow and my payload is only couple hundred kg, I always do a little over the speed limit non stop. I chose these tyres on tred pattern to match the Bridgestone A/T's which I got 80,000k's out. The issue with cheap tyres I have found is they can delaminate - these didn't - and they go out of round when they get older. This did happen to these tyres. When I was buying new tyres last time the Desert Hawks were cheap almost half price of Bridgys and my bank balance made me take a chance. So if you do the maths these tyres were worth the money.Buying these tyre it's important to keep the air pressure spot on as this might have contributed to early out of round wear. Get regular wheel allignments if your going over a rough roads OR you hit a few big potholes on the h-way. I changed all four tyres so they were matching and all the wheel allignment bearings were in good condition. What have I got now? Trying out Toyo Open Country A/T this time around. Why? They were on special and matched the price of the Desert Hawk and I was told by the sales rep "its QA is very good"... I guess I will see as the reviews are mixed. Cheers!

Worst tyres i have ever bought in 45yrs of driving
These tyres wear on the edges uneven ,even on the rear live axle they are wearing at a alarming rate ,will be lucky to get 10,000 ks from them, will have to change them well before as the vibration is getting too bad..Do not buy theses tyres .

Dangerous Shudder
I just wanted a good but reasonably priced tyre - UNFORTUNATELY the Achilles Desert Hawk was suggested for my 4WD. I put 2 on the front with my old Bridgestones on the back - all was OK for a couple of months, but when the colder weather set in, a soon as I reached around 80-90 kmph the shudder just about wrenched the steering wheel out of my hands - I tried a wheel alignment and balancing - no better - swapped the old tyres back to the front and shudder gone instantly!!! Unfortunately my husband put 4 of the same Achilles on his 4WD at the same time as me, but because he does less kms than me is only now having the exact same problem at 80kmph. As we live in a semi rural area, we do not have the luxury of going slow for the first half hour till the tyres warm up a bit. Do NOT buy these tyres!!!

Nissan Navara
Garbage Tyres/Bad Heal and Toe.
Got these A/T tyres fitted to my Nissan Navara. They were ok at the start, nice and quiet but it was down hill from there. Multiple punctures and the noise from these tyres is horrific. Very bad heal and toe (rotation and wheel alignment done every 10,000ks) and had one tyre that had severe tyre separation (blow out). Only did 35,000ks.Paid $150 each. Getting rid of the other 3 tyres in case they blow out.Still had over half tread left till they hit the markers.Don't buy these Tyres. Don't waste your money.

Mitsubishi Outlander
Great price
I really just bought this because they were the cheapest but have no problems with them. I get on average 50000 or 60000km from a set and will be buying them again. It's best to order them in because not everybody stocks them, but it is well worth the wait.

2014 Toyota Hilux
Rubbish tyres
Had a set of XMT's which seem to have all the same problems as the A/T's. They were a great tyre to begin with but then it all went downhill. They got noisy, wore out uneven, got over 6 punctures just driving on the road, had horrible steering wheel wobble at 80km and only lasted 25,000km. Would never waste my money on anything Achilles again

2016 Toyota Hilux
Shudders galore
Got 5 of them put on at the shop and they started wobbling. Got them rebalanced again, started wobbling after 600kms. That's it, I'm putting the 5 of them on ebay for $1. New tyres going on for me. Not willing to have shudders at 110kmh with my family in the car.

2009 Mitsubishi Outlander
Tyres deformed don't Waste your money
I bought a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander the car was second hand with 3 of these Tyres on it 225/55/18. Started noticing a vibration in the front thinking it was an alignment issue but found one of tyres was deformed, purchased 2 new tyres for the front and 1 month later found the back one had deformed as well, would never purchase them. When they held shape they did wear quickly.
