About Yokohama BluEarth AE01 Tyres

A car tyre for everyday motorists who want to save money on fuel.

The BluEarth is an Eco tyre that uses low rolling resistance tyre technology to take drivers up to 8% further on a tank of fuel for highway driving and up to 10% further on a tank for urban driving.

The orange oil technology in Yokohama's high-tech Nano Blend rubber compound adds grip at a micro level. As a result, Yokohama's fuel-efficient eco tyres have the grip Yokohama is famous for.

Petrol king
Just got these tyres and all I can say is epic. Handlings awesome, no noise from the road, perfect handling in rain and theye stopped the little vibration my car had smooth ride But the most important fact of all a quarter tank petrol would get me 100k letting it roll now I m at 135k a quarter tank. and at $300 for 4 at bobjane I cannot be happier awesome investment

Best between price and quality
We are on to our second set of Yokohama BluEarth AE01. We don t buy new cars or change cars every couple of years hence we have bought plenty of tires over time. Goodyear, Dunlop, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin and Yokohama. Would have loved to stay with Pirelli, felt most grippy when we had them. Dunlop was the worst of the lot. We now run Michelin (came with the car) and Yokohama BluEarth we bought. While it doesn t have as good a grip as we had with Pirelli P6, the Pirellis were pretty soft so they won t last long. Yokohama has great brake feel and nice grip. They are also quiet and lasts. Last set almost lasted 6 years. Naturally, we went back to buy another set. Hopefully, things hasn t changed that much in terms of quality. We had the new set for two years now. Still very happy. :)

They REALLY are quieter :)
Had 4 new YOAE01 205/55ZR 16 tyres fitted today with buy 3 get 1 free. I am extremely impressed with these tyres. The quality and grip seem great. Noticeable decrease in the road noise & the ride is smoother. Great service from Bob Jane T-marts and we will certainly be back. Thumbs up for a great start.

Great Tyres
I've just replaced the original 195 Bridgestones on my new Pulsar Hatch with 205 AE01s and these are significantly better all round.Steering and handling are noticeably improved, they are quieter and more comfortable. Those suspension jiggles over our rough North Coast roads are much reduced. My fuel consumption has declined from 6.2 to 6.0L/100klms.Have no idea about the wear factor but that is far less important to me than the above. One happy driver here.

Super adequate
Very happy with them, most adequate tyres i ever did purchase, great in the wet.I work in the sticks so its all hi-speed driving so dry/wet grip is essential, generally lighter and rounder so less fuel consumption, previously had chepo double star - no name brand tyres from previous owner were lethal.

Blue Earth from now on
I've been running generic cheap tyres on my wifes car for a while. My local Bob Jane recommended changing from a 195 to a 205 as you can get a much better tyre for the money. We ended up getting 2 Blue Earths fitted up. We have done about 1,000km so far. Her fuel economy avg has dropped from 7.2l/100 to 6.9L/100 (I didn't tell her they were supposed to have less rolling resistance and save fuel) which is almost as good as claimed. The tyres are a lot quieter than the nexan that we had. The 205 actually look skinnier than the 195. The wife says they feel more comfortable.

Long life. Good in wet conditions.
One does not buy tyres often. These replaced the Yokohama A Drives which I previously had on my Toyota Avalon. I was really happy with the A Drives so I was disappointed when they were no longer available. Bob Jane said the Blue Earth has a slightly softer compound so that would not last as long but would grip better. I cannot confirm this from my experience. I find the Yokohama Blue Earth to be great value for money, excellent road holding, great tyres in the wet and long lasting. I do not plan to deviate from Yokohama in the future.

Good replacement for the OEM tyres
Fitted these to our Toyota Corolla, as it was an extra $25 per Tyre to get the Yokohama OEM tyres. They are very quiet, and the handling in wet conditions is excellent. I run them at 35 psi, rather than 32. Will swap over all tyres when the back tyres finally wear through - 5 years and 60k so far is reasonable mileage on the OEM Yokohama's.

Better economy
Back tyres are over a year old and front are new. The tyres are slightly bigger in diameter and we have noticed that the speedo is reading correctly and economy has improved out of sight. So far they have been durable and the noise in the car has reduced. The price was excellent so we think that they are worth getting again.

Just perfect
I got Yokohama tyres because there were the original tyres of my old car but i really didnt think they were amazing. Really good purchase. There are durable and resistant. I really felt the difference of performance in my car when they were installed. My car (and myself) loves it.

Great Tyres
With my old tyres going bald and losing traction, I decided to purchase 4 of these tyres as they were part of a special. Buy 3 and get 1 free. The tyres have good grip and no skidding anymore when turning at the roundabouts. Early days but these tyres have been good.

Great performance and value.
I drive a big heavy car which has always been harsh on wear and tear of tyres. This time round I have been really pleasantly surprised. I rack up about 30,000 km each year, and usually go through a set of tyres every 2 years or so. I bought 4 Yokohoma Blue Earth tyres about 2 years ago, and there has been no appreciable wear. I figure I will get at least another 3 years out of them at this rate. The ride is not hard and the road grip is superb. In my opinion, these are the best tyres I have ever had on any car I have ever owned and I have been driving now for just over 50 years. And for the record, I have used most brands that are on the market along that 50 year journey. I rate these Yokohama tyres as top of the class in respect of performance and they are really quite reasonably priced,

Excellent and cheap!
Bought 4 of these when the buy 3 get 4th free was running. Total cost was $360 which was excellent for 195/55/15 tyres. Tyres are quiet, grip well, and perform well in the wet. In fact apart from some minor screeching when cornering at high speed in the the dry I cannot fault them!

Okay apart from a few problems
Tyres make a squeaking sounds sometimes when turing the steering far right or left but other than that there appear to be no problems with grip etc. Tyres were purchased on special buy 3 get 1 free so think the price was worth it. Been about 1 and 1/2 years now and no problems so happy with the durability
