Everything I ask of these Pirelli Scorpions seems to be no sweat for them, I tow a 5 mtr runabout on some very dubious roads and slippery boat ramps and so far they’ve never let me down. I’ve had a lot of tyres over 55 years of driving on all sorts of roads and these give me a great deal of confidence to make it home. Stability is their outstanding feature and grip is second to none.

Excellent So Far
These tyres have been awesome so far. Quieter than my wife's Hyundai. Have only done 3000 km but these leave the BFG KO@ in the dust for comfort, noise and handling. Still to try the High Country though!

Pirelli Scorpion Plus
Tyres are rated to be better in snow and rain. Have only tested in rain and on black ice so far. Handling and braking are very good. Swapped my Hankooks for these. They are very similar except these have harder compound and took some adjusting to handling around corners because they are less sticky.

2016 Volkswagen Amarok
Pirelli Scorpion Plus
I walked in to get another very well know brand of tyre put on the Amarok, maybe because everyone else has this “other” brand. But the new version of the Pirelli scorpion, the Plus, was there next to the “other” tyre and wow didn’t it stand out! So much so I put a set of the Pirelli’s on the Amarok and set of into the Queensland outback for a month long adventure. These tyres were faultless! The only thing we did was let the tyre pressure down for a smoother ride on the rough terrain, and pumped them back up when we hit the bitumen again!
We did near 5000k on dirt, sharp rocks, sand, big rocks, sticks, small rocks and culverts! No punctures, no dramas!!
Since our trip we have down a few more k’s on road trips, school drop off, a couple of beach runs and the old shopping trip. The tyres still look like the day we bought them, they are holding their wear really well! The aggressive look is awesome, and that has not stopped their ability to hold the road in the dry and more importantly in the wet. The tyre noise is non existent, super quiet, very grippy in corners and braking.
I highly recommend checking these pirelli scrorpion Plus out over the “other” brand in the all terrain category, and they were cheaper also! I would definitely put them on our car again with confidence!
