Realistic $/km
Good value for a performance tyre. They appear to be long lasting and give assurance in grip level on both wet and dry roads.

They give me confidence in all driving conditions, particularly in wet weather. Not the cheapest 18 inch tyre but well worth the premium. I will definitely stick with Michelin from now on.

Very Good tyres
Purchased 4x Michelin Pilot Sport tyres from costco for my 05 Honda Accord Euro Size: 225 45 R17 Definitely an massive difference and upgrade from Pilot Sport 3, in terms of handling and ride comfort. Road noise when compared to PS3 is lower but still not as good as Primacy s . Milage is little bit better 8.9/100 k from 9.5/100 k no change in circumstance from PS 3 and PS 4 Highly recommended if you like more grip/performance from your tyres

Only had them for a few weeks but the grip & comfort are unbelievable
Can t comment on durability yet as I ve only done 1000km on them so far. Grip in wet and dry is better than anything I ve had on this car so far - beats Toyo CS1 s, Bridgestone RE003 s and Firestone TZ700 s by a significant margin. Wet grip on acceleration, cornering and braking in particular is outstanding. Don t point as well as the Bridgestones did but still pretty good, and the grip more than makes up for it. Not super quiet, but not noisy either.

High grip, comfortable. But low cornering stiffness makes it a bad match to my cars steering setup.
I have revised my review since I spent more time with the new tyres. Bought four PS4 in 235/40/R18 to replace the original equipment Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. Significantly better grip and comfort compared to Asymmetric 2s. The grip levels are incredible for a road tyre. Torque steer almost completely gone, even peak torque in first gear can hardly spin them on a good piece of road in dry. But the downside is the low cornering stiffness. To achieve the same cornering rate I have to turn the steering wheel more compared to the original AS2s. Combine that with a variable ratio rack tuned for the OE tyres, it make the car feel a lot less agile as I have to make bigger steering inputs. There s also more body roll under hard cornering, which is one thing I don t like about the car made worse by the new tyres. Sometimes there are also unwanted sideways oscillations when cornering load is changed rapidly during entry/exit of sharp turns. This is when I m running 41 psi in the front, a +6 psi over placard spec. The PS4 also has no rim protection, something really nice to have when you go around town, shopping centre parking lots and frequently drive next to high curbs.

Extra horsepower
Put on new 245/40ZR18 97Y and I was gobsmacked. The car feels like it s riding on clouds, there s zero road noise, and it grips so well it feels like my car had added extra horsepower! The car pulls and leaves you pushed into your seat in its wake. The ride is so subtle - only made worse when I filled up with 50L fuel... so the ride can only improve as the fuel burns. The quietness is scary... I can hear the engine, the wind, and nothing else. It s like driving the car in a vacuum. Tyre noise only came about when I got onto a really rough surface, but still minor. The tyres look great especially on 18 rims as it makes the rims look bigger compared to stock 235/45R18. They should have used the velvet effect more as it looks and feels incredible (not that feeling tyres is a thing, unless it s your thing). I know there s a limited edition Pilot Sport 4 S which uses heaps of the velvet, but that S doesn t come in 18 s in Australia (not yet anyway), and will probably be twice the price. Riding on these tyres made me realise the tyres should not impede the design of the car, especially the power of the engine. It s really obvious now my previous tyres did. These tyres made the car alive again, and it feels brand new. I ll be getting this tyre every time from now on. Best I ve ever bought.

Great grip and responsive
I replaced the oem 205/45 Bridgestone S001 tyres on 17x7 rims with 215/45 PS4 tyres on 17x8 rims. The grip is far greater and unlike the previous reviews, I find the PS4s very responsive with more precise turn in. This could be because I have fitted the tyres to the maximum width rim for a 215/45 tyre. They have much less road roar than the oem tyres. The negatives are there are tyres with a wider actual tread in 215/45 and combined with no rim protectors my wheel rims are very exposed to curbs and deep potholes.

Not very convincing as a sport tyre.
I had these tyres installed on my BMW 3 series. The tyres were very wide fitting and looked good. The ride was the most luxurious and soft ride that I have ever experienced. The grip was impressive, but unfortunately the handling of the car became quite soft. The steering response felt slow and vague in a way that it never did with my previous high performance tyres. If I made abrupt steering inputs the car felt too unstable, disconnected from the road, and had some oscillation in yaw. PS4 tires in 235/45/17 were fitted on 8" wide wheels, which is well within the recommended range. Different tyres have since been fitted that offer improved handling. Thanks to Spinning Wheel Tyres (Waterloo NSW) that were very helpful in resolving the issues to my complete satisfaction.

Excellent sporty tyre
Felt great on the road as soon as I had them put on at the local Michelin dealer. Good tread pattern all around and they seem to be hard wearing. Provide a tonne of grip for a car that only sees the streets, feel great under steering and cornering in all weather conditions.

Best tyres I've ever used.
This is the 4th set of tyres I’ve used on my focus XR5 and by far the best performing sub $300 tyres I’ve ever used. I can really tell the difference when taking a sharp corner and braking in the wet. I’ve only had them for 6 months so I can’t comment on longevity, but they don’t seem to be wearing out prematurely. I got them for $250 each at Canterbury tyres Canterbury Tyre & Mag Supamart, and will buy them again when the time comes.

Great performance tyre at a great price
Purchased 2 Michelin Pilot Sport tyres in 235/40/18 for my Renault Megane Sport Cup. Paid $188 each at my local Bob Jane and they have been great. Very low road noise and very good grip in both the wet and dry. No noise from the tyres when driving up to 120km/h. The tyres don't have the extra rim guard so need to be more careful with gutters (lost one star here, otherwise a 5 star tyre). Will definitely replace the other two tyres with the Pilot Sport 4 when the time comes. Michelin regularly have a $100 cashback which adds to the great value. With tyres being the only thing holding your car to the roads, paying a bit extra for these premium tyres are well worth it.

Super grippy tyre
Fitted 4 new Pilot Sport 4 tyres (215/45/17) to replace the factory fitted Yokohama dB tyres on my Toyota 86. I ditched the old tyres and wheels because they simply lacked grip. Oversteering gets a bit tiring after a while and the police don't like it either so I decided to try the newly released Pilot Sport 4. They were on special at Jax tyres. The level of grip is amazing compared to the Yokohamas. They are also fairly quiet at highway speeds. Ive only done about 4000 kms so far so its hard to tell what the wear rate is like but I guess like most Michelins they will last a longish time.I would highly recommend these tyres.
