Stopped in the wet
Had a guy decide to stop in front of me, as soon as the lights went 'orange' on an 80kmh major highway. We were both doing 80 km/h.The road was semi-wet, i didn't really have a huge gap between me and him. These tyres saved me from running into the back of this imbecile driver, tyre handling was excellent, brakes never locked up at all.Only Michelin Energy tyres for me from now on!They'll keep you safe from bad drivers, causing you to break suddenly. Thanks Michelin Man! :-)

Huge improvment on supercats
These tyres replaced 215/60R16 Supercats on a 2008 Toyota Camry. Improved handling and no more wheel spin on take offs especially in the rain. .Quiet as well on the motorway. Have travelled around 2,000 kms so far and happy with the XM2's although have not found greatly improved fuel economy.

VERY MUCH SATISFIED
QUIET AND SOFT WITH 36psi, WHAT ELSE DO U WANT.Using it on my Toyota Aurion in 215/60/R16Not tested yet in wet conditions how ever over all road grip is much better as compared to my previous tyres, Recommend to always change all 4 tyres rather than 2 in pairs.

Don't believe the 'Energy' hype any more
Bought a Previa in early 2010 with 50%-worn Michelin Energy XM1+ tires. Unbelievably good in the wet, ride good, handling like on rails and didn't wear out for another 3 years! Tried to get XM1+ again in March but could only get XM2 as the XM1s had been 'superseded'. Why do companies screw around with perfection? The XM2s have a different tread pattern (much larger central grooves) meaning they are noisier, the sidewalls aren't as stiff meaning the handling is spongier - not good for a people-carrier - ie. roll oversteer (this means wet cornering is far less confident) unless I put 40psi in them. They also 'drag' more. By looking at how the tread is wearing so far, I can tell straight away they won't last anywhere near as long as the XM1+.

Great grip!
These tyres replaced the original factory Yokahamas on our 2nd (small) car. Size is 185/65/14.When purchased I told the tyre fitters I wanted two things: quietness and long wear. I don't really care so much about grip, looks etc. After driving a few thousand kilometres on them here are my thoughts. They're quiet, but not particularly so - I've had Bridgestones and Goodyears that were quieter. But they are quieter than the Yokahamas they replaced. The steering feel is a bit wooden - the Yokahamas were better in this respect - but the actual steering response is excellent.Ride comfort is very good.Grip levels are way beyond the Yokahamas, especially in the dry. In fact that's these tyres biggest strength - they really do stick tremendously well - better than any other tyre I've ever had. Even if (like me) you don't necessarily drive around every corner like it was a Grand Prix, the level of grip of these tyres gives a feeling of confidence in the the car and makes the drive that much more pleasureable. And safer too.The jury is still out on how long they'll last, but so far wear seems pretty modest.Overall I'm very happy with these tyres and would certainly recommend them. If you can find some Bridgestones or Goodyears for the same price then they'd probably be fine too.

XM2 not good as XM1 in Wet
I had a set of Michelin Energy XM1s in my commodore for last 60,000km and they were fantastic in wet and dry. Given XM1s are no longer made i thought i give XM2s a try. However after driving 2000km on XM2 they are not good as XM1s in wet. Guaranteed wheel spin at traffic lights in wet/ or going up a hill. Only good thing about XM2 is they are less noisy on the road than XM1s for sure.
