Top marks all round why pay more.
Had all four tires replaced on my2007 Honda MK3 CRV and so far very impressed with them lots of grip in snow and quieter than dunlops fitted from new.Seen reviews on line and must say so far it seems there correct.I live in England and got mine from 4X4 TIRES on line and had them fitted at local garage.Guy at garage said they must of cost a lot but when I told him how much he was taken back and said could do with them on his FREELANDER.

Failure of MasterCraft car tyres
Just over four years ago we decided to replace the Kuhmo tyres that came with the car when new, with MasterCraft Avenger LSR tyres. My wife used to do a lot of long distance driving and we bought a diesel vehicle for that purpose. The MasterCraft Avenger LSR is now discontinued. They came with a 5 year warranty and an 80,000 Km guarantee, hence the attraction for us. However my wife s health declined and the car was being driven only 10,000 Km per year. The tyres were great and the tread wear was very good. We had wheel alignments and tyre inspections as per the terms of the guarantee. However in the past couple of weeks I began to notice that the car was shaking whilst being driven and was pulling towards the left. I thought that it was just a wheel alignment issue but we had the tyres inspected etc in July this year and nothing untoward was noticed. I took the car to my local TyrePower dealer (who were very good I must say) for a wheel alignment but they called me back soon after and told me that three of the four tyres had internal separation of the construction layers and that the tyres were essentially egg shaped as a result. This was very disappointing given the initial cost for a quality tyre. Cooper Tires did honour the warranty and I now have four new Cooper tyres at a discount but with only a 60,000 Km guarantee. I think that there was a dodgy batch of tyres imported to Australia and I got some of them. The staff at TyrePower and the Cooper Tires representative said that they had never seen an instance like this. It has put my off Cooper Tire products unless the new ones don t fail. I do have to wonder about the quality control that Cooper Tires have in place and whether or not these tyres are made in the USA or China. An expensive and ultimately unhappy experience. Probably just as well that the Avenger LSR is no longer available. Maybe it says something??

Seriously good.
Recently purchased a full set of these tyres to replace a set of Dunlop SP300. Am impressed. I hated the Dunlops and only scored 39000km out of them on a Honda Civic. Have now had the Mastercrafts for about 5000km and very happy. The ride quality is excellent, they are quiet, overall grip is excellent, and wet weather ability is second to none. Zero ability to aquaplane. Unlike the Dunlops. I did a lot of research tyre wise before purchasing these tyres, a virtual unknown in Australia. Made in America. Parent company apparently Cooper Tyres. Were not overly expensive, good looking, and a 70000km guarantee. But am very happy with the purchase. These are not a performance tyre, and dont pretend to be, but as an overall allrounder, in my mind, very hard to beat. Have driven on many tyres in my 36 yrs experience, the last 4 as a proffessional driver on Michelin Agilis as my work drive. Two differing style of vehicle, (work drive is a bus), but to me, both tyres on a par with each other.

Great All Rounder
Put these on in a 205/55/16 on my Mazda 3. Original Bridgestone were bald at 35,000klm s. So far I have done 15,000klm s and they are hardly worn. Much quieter, better ride and similar handling to the Bridgestone. So far they have done all that I have asked of them. Great on the freeway and also around town.

Highly Recommend these tyres
Have had a set of these on my 2002 Avalon for last 4 years and I am about to replace them with the same tyres again, Good wear and handling in all conditions and never had a problem until rear tyre got a hole in it on the way through back roads in Queensland. Tyre was destroyed due to 50 degree heat and a bolt on the road. Originally had Dunflops and they were worst tyres I have ever had on a car, Noisy as buggery, Absolutely recommend these Mastercraft tyres, A bit pricey compared to others and hard to find in Townsville but located them at dealership here. worth the effort and money

Vibration issues, slippery in the wet, noisy, average handler, poor fuel efficiency.
Had quite a run around trying to get this set to balance properly. In the wet quite slippery compared to cheap Achilles AT2 of same size. (half the price) Avengers are also require a lot more fuel to push than used to. Yes wear rates are very good but the wet weather performance completely negates this attribute for me.
