Tyre Performance
Great tyres, very good grip, seem both great in wet and dry conditions.
Bought the tyres on the advice of the Tyre dealership and pleased with the outcome.

Buyer beware these are the worst tyres ever
Lasted 9 months and only 20,000km. Was encouraged to purchase these and regret the day I did. Regularly maintained with air pressure and wheel alignments bald within 9 months. These are the worst tyres I have ever experienced in almost 40 years of driving. Shocking in the wet.

Excellent
Amazing tyre for the wet and dry, around town or on the track. Why would you pay twice the price for other performance tyres when you can have these little beauties! I m just getting my second set fitted. I highly recommend them.

Ford Falcom
good fo dry condition but terrible when wet
I purchase last September (2015) for my Ford Flacon and initially felt lest noisy and smooth drive (my car travels daily 230km) but when in rain they are extremely bad with always tendency to slip. So I change my tyres to anther brand in March 2016. If you are regular driver with Falken tyres, I am not recommending at wet conditions to use.

Excellent
Fitted these on my MPS 3 as money was tight at the time but couldn t have imagined how much better these are than the OE B.stone RE050A s which are like ice skates on the MPS. Much cheaper, better gripping, and quieter, it s a win win win!!

Ford Falcon Wagon
Flat Spots on brand new Falken Tyres
I put two new Falken Tyres on my Falcon and instantly got doop doop noise at cruising speed. Took it back to the fitter who replaced them free of charge. However it caused major hassle on our holiday. The fitter found a major flat spot on both tyres. Very disappointed.

A great tyre in all conditions - so much bang for your buck! I ve tried many performance tyres of the years and this is such a great price/performance point.

Good grip and good value
Great tyres at a very good price. Last longer than the Potenzas and comparable with grip. Obviously not as good in the wet but still a solid performance tyre with good wear rate.

Brilliant value for grip and mileage - HSV
After struggling to get 20000km on original bridgestones, then 10000km on kumos (best tyres for my previous SS but very soft on HSV tyres) I easily achieved over 50000km on front tyres and over 58000km on rears 235/35/19 fk452 s which I have never got close to before. Similar driving on all tyres, HSV running 298 rwhp so these are brilliant tyres and grip, surprisingly well Have just fitted the new fk453,s and just hope they have same compound

Better Than OEM @ Half The Price
Not a big ask? well when your OEM tyres are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A s it s significant. How can Falken produce something that way out performs the big brand at half the price. I m only reviewing these on the rear of a 550+ NM Torque Maloo Ute, Traction is ALWAYS an issue and these Falkens are so much more capable that the Bridgestones. I m not saying they are the best tyres out there but theyre better than the Bridgstones.

Excellent
As an ex-tyre industry guy with vast experience in a major tyre Company racing team and supplier and a year-round motorcyclist on big, fast bikes - I am a demon for wanting traction, top braking and all-round grip. I would far rather pay much more for a tyre that stops 30cm shorter on a wet road and doesn t quite hit the truck or whatever. My wife is a leadfoot and drives long-distance too in QLD where we have long, dry spells and then rain which makes the road surface very treacherous and slippery indeed. I fitted a set of 235/60 x 16 s to her Nissan X-Trail ( running 36 psi-2.5 bar all round ) as these were the same rolling radius as the OE tyre which is a a terrible performer on bitumen, where the vehicle spends all it s time. In fact, I put a set of high-performance Bridgestones on the car when it was brand-new and left the OE tyres at the Nissan dealer to sell-off. These replacement Bridgies are no longer produced and I turned to the Falken to get the performance and size required. The Falkens are far BETTER and were CHEAPER and @ 40,000 klms now still probably have another 3-5,000 klms in them. So impressed that another set of FK452 s are going on soon. A simply terrific tyre.

Excelent tyre and value for money (235/45 17)
* Grip Front:Bought a pair of these for the front of a VT commodore V6 and basically in the wet lost front end traction relatively easy through a round about - basically ploughed through in a straight line. NOT fun! I tried various preasures from 32 PSI to 44 PSI and the result was always the same. The suspension is fine (i know someone was thinking it) with new swaybar links, struts, strut tops, bearings, etc, etc. And even a fresh wheel alignment didn t do much (last resort). In the end I moved them to the rear (as rears wear out quicker) and put Maxxis MA-V1 on the front. The weird part is that these 2 tyres worked really well together, but only in the set configurartion (i.e. Maxxis on front and Falken on the rear). Because if you swapped them around (which I did) the car handled aweful losing front and rear traction (wet and dry) if pushed a little hard. Go figure? * Rear Grip:Anyway on the rear they provide ample amounts of grip for a V6 and you have to push it to the extreme for the rear end to lose grip in the wet (or dry for that matter). Grip declines towards end of tyre life (got about 2.5mm left) which is normal for tyres and so start loosing grip earlier (as you would expect) - but for the most part you can feel it way ahead of time and can adjust driving to suit. Even at 2.5 mm they still grip very well. * Cheap:They are also cheap considering they are made in Japan and 235/45 17 size is still not that cheap when you buy something like Bridgestione which usually start at $220+ each. Made in Japan - don t see that too often - which surperised me when I saw that stampled on the sidewall. *Looks:Noy much to say - its a tyre and its black. It looks sexy from any angle and no buldging lettering that turns your car into a tyre advertising billboard (which Kumho tries to do). noise:Very quiet, even with 2.5mm of tread all road surfaces generate little to no noise. You can hear the engine, stereo at low volumes, conversation inside the car, etc over everything road surface Australia can offer. Probally the quietest performace tyre I have ever owned. Just to make a point: no dumb sports exhaust or anything even dumber like a subwoofer - so when i say its quiet - its quiet. * It has a rim protector but pretty much useless as the protector only comes about 1mm past the rim. My wife kindly proved this - and so when you turn into a gutter when parking, the tyre s fine but your rim gets wrecked. * Braking: Braking is excellent with the ABS never kicking in on the rears. Wet or dry the cars pulls up straight and fast. * Straightline handling:The tyres never follow the road and so the car always goes where you point them - which is what a good tyre should do. * Other notes:I would like to have seen what the car handled like if I had FK452 s on front and rear. Ah well, the maxxis are too new to replace for no good reason...

Cheap for the capable performance but sidewall is a worry
It s Imported, it s good performer, it s cheap, but it s doesn t last. It has good grip on dry and wet, good road holding and cornering, almost 90% of the performance for half of the price comparing to the most premium brand s top tyres, such as F1, pilot sports etc. The treadwear is good at 300, however the sidewall construction is not at all solid. It s very likely you will get low pressure or little punch so you will run the tyres in lower pressure. Some flat tyre or low pressure will crash the sidewall and you have to replace the tyre even it s still brand new. Especially for very low profile sizes on a powerful car (wheel). This never happened to my F1 or Sports maxx but I had five 452 that had a sidewall crash on lower tyre pressure, all very low profile on powerful wheels (v6/v8). Also road noise is not very good
